Definitely my favorite burger joint in Rotterdam. I've tried several of the burgers on offer ( the burger club, the burger club special, hapsburger and the chicken) and they were all lovely. My new favorite is the burger au poivre, it may be the best burger I've ever had and I live in the USA. Add some fries and a beer, the perfect meal! The owners are delightful. Opened only six months ago, The Burger Club is one of the latest additions to Rotterdam's collection of gourmet burger joints. Last Friday, me and a couple of likeminded burger fans decided to try this relatively young establishment. We arrive at peak hour and the restaurant is in full swing. We take our seats and enjoy the bustle that is so clearly visible through the open kitchen: a well-oiled, three man machine producing fine looking burgers one after another. After placing our orders we enjoy two more rounds of beer; the waiting takes a little longer than we had expected, but then again, Friday evening most places are quite busy, and thus a bit slower. The restaurant's namesake burger "The Burger Club" is, like all other burgers here, served on a rustic wooden kitchen board. Unlike other burger places, this burger isn't served paper wrapped or with a skewer through it - it's neat and can stand upright without support. This place focuses on the meat. You can choose from either local MRIJ beef, Iberico pork or (American) Wagyu beef. Personally I think using Wagyu for a burger is just a waste, so I decide on the local beef. And although I'm not a big fan of cooking burgers on a griddle, chef Luis certainly managed to pull it off: the burger I'm served is medium rare and the patty is nice and thick. My group consists of not the smallest guys, and we realize that we're not completely satisfied and saturated: though the burgers were of great quality, it lacked a little in size. We decide on getting two servings of sliders - 2 x 3 tiny burgers of the three different types of meat - to share among the five of us. The tiny version of the Iberico burger is a nice ending to my dinner, and it's a great way to get to try the other meats as well. Although the initial order took a bit longer to get served than usual, the service was great. Hostess Nanet walks around in comfortable clothes, no stiff suit, and that is also what she's trying to reflect in the service: be comfortable and enjoy. The only downside was the size of the burgers, although I'm sure some people were very comfortable with it. I'll definitely visit again soon. read more

"Best Burger of Rotterdam 2016", well definitely the most delicate and pretty one. I got the 'Burger Club' burger with Wagyu meat - you know, those Japanese bulls that get daily TLC like massages. I have to say, the taste difference is really there - a paddy full very rich of amazing taste. Fantastic. The toppings were pretty 'traditional': perfectly sized and placed on top of eachother. Form over function. The taste of the bun was a bit boring for my taste: American style full of air, I was hoping for it to be a bit more exciting. But perhaps it would overdo the whole taste experience. This burger wins the #1 prize for presentation. The main ingredient for this burger was the meat, and everything else seems to come on second place. It was almost a waste to eat this one with my bare hands, so pretty. (I used cutlery) All this beauty comes with a price, this 150 grams burger threw me back 19 euros. Consider this the "Michelin-starred" burger joint. The amount of Gin-tonics and wines available show that it's trying to serve a higher class market, but at the same time the interior feels like a regular burger place. I am not sure if the concept is in line here, but the quality of the meat is amazing. After eating here I'm starting to wonder if eating burgers is fast food or quality dining? read more

I was prepared to have my mind blown away by the burger, this afternoon. Decided to go for the bbq-burger with pineapple and jalapeno, among other things. And it was good. Along with the French fries and the spicy mayo, it was good. Sitting there experiencing the good, my soul was longing for great. I wanted to be taken to the next level, forgetting about the surroundings. So hey - my burger ego hopes you can prove me wrong and have an amazing experience here. Good places deserve customers. The meat is good, and if you like to taste the meat more than the other topping, you may have a great time here. I will definitely not be tattooing Burger Club's logo on my forearm out of pure admiration, and I think the prices are too steep for me to come back immediately. But we will see! read more

This is maybe the best tasting burger I have had since living here in Europe. With a rush of many burger restaurants opening saying there handmade I have been on quest to see which is best. So we had the local beef with cheese and cooked medium well. It was perfect and juicy. The manager/ owner was super friendly talkative with us and she suggested that i try the fries there and wow loved them as I live in Belgium and they are known for there fries but these fries were just great wow. The owner Coming from there Spanish roots as she mentioned in there cooking way In doing the fries and she gave me the tips that they use to make these fries at home. Me and wife loves this place and will eat here again when in Rotterdam. read more

Not the best burgers in Rotterdam, but definitely the worst manager in Rotterdam. They should get a prize for that. We had a reservation for a large group in which she gave us a small table. When I talked to her about the situation how a large group would fit at this small table, she told me she did not expect that several people of the group would be plus size....(honestly, five normal size people would barely fit at the table). Crazy how adult people can behave like bullies, not do their job well and blame the 'plus size' for it. Very disappointing. The kitchen staff and the waiters were great though. read more

Prices are quite high, but I loved the atmosphere and music and my vegan Dutch Weed Burger was delicious. The green bun looks a little strange, but the flavor is great. read more
