Delicious wraps, clean, bright and good ambiance, good service…read more The menu offers a decent selection of delicious items with options to be prepared as Pierogi, wraps, bowls. We had the baba's classic pierogi, it was well prepared, served hot. Also had the bbq philly cheese steak as loaded wrap, it was really delicious, aromatic and nicely prepared. The quantity is good for small to low-average eaters, but may not be adequate for most.

On Friday night, after spending some time chatting and eating with my dear friend at Copper Branch…read morein Bowmanville, we left when it closed at 8 pm. We said goodbye and I headed to my car. I noticed Loaded Pierogi in the same plaza, several doors down from Planet Fitness. I love pierogies (or perogies, depending on what you like spelling-wise), so I made a mental note. Yesterday, I had a craving for pierogies. I decided to drive back to Bowmanville to check out this place. Thankfully, I like day trips, so I didn't mind backroading it over here. There was plenty of parking in this plaza. I parked fairly close to Loaded Pierogi without getting blown away by gusty winds and walked in. I was greeted by a cheerful young woman. I was the only one in the place. I had never been to any Loaded Pierogi. I asked what the difference was between the small and large sizes. You get six and eight pierogies, respectively. Each pierogy is on the normal size scale. You can cut it in half and each half represents a decent bite. I had looked at the menu the night before. I knew what flavour I wanted. I went with the large wild mushroom and truffle pierogies. They had sautéed portobello, oyster, cremini, and button mushrooms, with thyme, goat cheese, white truffle oil, caramelized onions, and green onions. Perfect for the mushroom and truffle oil lover! She asked whether I wanted my pierogies boiled or fried. I asked whether I could get a split. In the past, you could, but you can't anymore. That's okay. I went boiled. This place has beer. I was impressed. I didn't get any and opted for a Diet Pepsi instead. I paid with a credit card. The transaction was easy and smooth. I also tipped. I decided to dine in. I had to present my proof of vaccination and ID. All went well. I found a table and sat on the long, cushioned bench side. I had a sip of my drink before my order was ready for pickup. I put my mask back on, fetched my food, thanked the woman, and headed back to the table. Although you can place your order online and drop by to pick it up, my ordering while at the eatery took little time to prepare. It was probably because I came during a non-rush time to chow down. This meal was my late lunch just past 3 pm. I loved all the mushrooms, green onions, goat cheese, carmelized onions, and green onions that completely covered all pierogies underneath. I was so happy. I found a pierogy. It was boiled perfectly. I cut it in half. It was fully stuffed with potato filling. I took a bite with some toppings. It was such a comforting bite. I loved the mushrooms. The truffle oil was subtle, but definitely present. There was a lot of goat cheese that was so creamy. If you hate goat cheese, you may want to pass on this flavour. I loved it, especially with the carmelized onions and green onions. The flavours were incredible. I was so happy eating everything. I felt fancy, despite being dress casually, as usual. I normally don't care for sour cream. However, the sour cream here is different. It tastes fresh and has something else mixed in with it (maybe garlic or onion powder) and it was addictive. I used the washroom before driving back to Markham. There are two single-stall washrooms. I used the regular one. The other supported accessibility needs. This eatery was super clean and the washroom was no exception. My experience was excellent. I'd definitely come back and try more items. (448)

The girl working was super nice and suggested she can make a pogo in a bun. I declined went to subway (same place) the customer service was atrocious at the subway but that's besides the point. Came back asked for the pogo in a bun and let me tell you it was actually pretty good. I genuinely appreciate the effort and creativity. Generous amount of onions in the bun huge plus, it's like she knew me ))) . Customer service 10/10. I'll be back for the proper hot dog next time.. or two! :)

As far as fast food goes, it's fun and tasty and highly recommended if you are in the neighborhood…read more The place itself is remote, and there aren't many options off the freeway, so it's easy to dismiss it, but don't. It's an excellent place to stop. It's so good I even saw employees from the adjacent Subway get their lunch there. The classics are solid. The cheese dog is worthy of the name, and the poutine will make Canada proud. They are very generous with the gravy, making this a tasty proposition. The signature dishes are the Rise to Fries dog and rose to fries poutine, both featuring their "secret sauce" and pickles. Both are great and preferred over the plain classics. The sauce has a nice herby flavor that works well with the sour taste of the pickles. It's really worth a try. Finally, the lady at the counter was warm, friendly, and energetic, like she actually wanted to work there, a rare phenomenon in this industry.
