Hard working sloth here. (ME)…read more Pre-pandemic: Back in the day, I was very busy, kind of lazy, OK very more lazy than busy, and I stumbled upon this website. When I was sick I needed Alka-Seltzer, I needed toilet paper (lol pre-pandemic keep that in mind lol) I needed a light bulb, I needed a TV dinner, I needed a bottle of wine, I needed a pair of socks, I could text them and get a response within 10 minutes and have something delivered within an hour. This service existed before all of the other delivery services - you know, the big corporations. When they were on their way, they would text and gently knock on the door. (Again, pre-pandemic.) Such friendly delivery persons - I had a regular who I always liked to chat with for a few minutes. He insisted that a tip was not expected. It was 2am, I wanted to tip! Very honest, good morals, ethics etc... During pandemic: same level of service but with text and no physical contact. Very safe and resourceful. Their hours have changed but their level of service has not changed. They are pioneers in delivery services.

Ordering and delivery was seamless and saved me money, time and energy instead of having to leave the house, catch multiple Ubers to go to separate places to get my beer and cigarettes, carry my 2wk beer supply up and down my 2 story, etc. Godsend. all I can say. Period.

Putting out a variety of house-made fries, available plain, with cheese, cheese and jalapenos, loaded baked potato, or Asian chicken (with a sriracha cream drizzle and cilantro). They smartly had all of their featured styles on display, and despite having one of the longest lines, it moved pretty quickly. Chips were fresh, portion as huge for the low $5 price tag, and they were generous with the toppings. Their old-school ticketed ordering system helped keep things running smoothly and ensured everyone got what they ordered, as they turned their ticket stub in to pick up their food. Their website indicates that they do general catering, and I'd be interested to hit up the truck if I see it again to see what other food they put out.

The chips were delicious and obviously freshly made. The idea was great and the taste was A-OK. The portion was huge and the combination was rich so it would definitely be best shared among two or three people. The service was very friendly and my order came up quickly, especially compared to the wait time at the other stands. The chips were $10 which seemed a bit steep for chips, even at a food festival. Maybe a smaller portion for $5 would be a good festival option.

At Desert Shores,a small room of wood and white doors, striped awnings like eyelashes, and behind the glass, a choir: sourdough, low and deep, croissant, high and flaky, muffin, humble and sweet. I got an assortment of all of the pastries they were offering that day and also purchased a loaf of their sourdough. The star was definitely the cinnamon roll that came with a side of delicious cream cheese frosting. The various croissants were also good but not remarkable. I was very confused about the sourdough when I got home. I do bake sourdough at home myself so I am very familiar with the process and taste profile. My husband and I both thought this bread tasted like regular yeast bread as it didn't have the tang nor the consistency of sourdough. I would not have opted to pay $10 for a loaf of regular country bread. All in all, the bakery is solid but i did not understand the hype reviews. If I had to choose one item here, I'd go for the cinnamon roll.
