We were immediately greeted and seated. The mango lemonade I ordered came in a huge margarita glass. We started off with the empanadas. So delicious, I could eat them for a meal. We opted for the shareable platters. We ordered one that fed three, and one that fed two. These came with Ribeye, fajita, picana and grilled sausage. We good amount of tortillas and a spicy sauce that added a lot of flavor to the dish. I got treated to a cake for my birthday. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

The hosts led us to one of the back rooms- looked like they were set up for several parties then. We started with a shrimp And crab cocktail dish to start. Serve with chips and multiple salsas, you couldn't go wrong with any combination. I also tried one of their signature margaritas. For my entree I just had a shrimp taco and marlin taco, but I tried some other bone marrow, fried shrimp and aguachile orders! Our server was very nice and friendly, especially with our limited proficiency in Spanish. And since it was Christmas Day, the grinch even made an appearance! The décor is spectacular. During my time in Tampico, I didn't really see any places that really looked particularly upscale during my visit, but this was an exception. The lighting, the chairs, the ambiance was all quite nice. We were off in a side room with one other sizeable party, but neither of us needed the full space. Our group came trickling in, but they seated us as soon as we arrived and kept the bread and drinks coming over the course of the hour we waited. We ended up ordering calamari and alcohol for the table to help keep things going while we waited on some stragglers. The calamari was lightly fried and served with blooming onion dipping sauce, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. I couldn't keep track of everything that was ordered, but my wife went with the grilled salmon and seemed to love it. I went with the negrilla tres nueces, a grilled fish covered in cashews, almonds, and pine nuts. The nuts were a bit much, but the fish was perfectly cooked. I wish they had done more with the vegetables, though. I found myself dipping the vegetables in the lemon butter sauce to add some flavor. There were a few things that I could have probably have docked this place a star for, but the servers were so accommodating with our group trickling in over the course of an hour that I figured this place deserves a five star rating. Most places wouldn't have been as cool about it.
