One one side of the I65 exit, you will find plenty of newer hotels and chain food places. On the other side, nestled back, sits this Burger King and a much older motel. My guess is, once upon a time, this Burger King was in the catbird seat with no or little competition. The outside is scruffy and I do mean scruffy. The BK sign is totally broken on the side opposite the highway. The parking lot is - well, rough is an understatement. This place has seen much better days. I don't know if all the building on the other side of the highway attributed to the decline but this BK has no curb appeal. Yet there were a couple cars in the lot and so we headed towards the drive thru. By now, you may be wondering why on earth you are seeing 5 stars after reading the above. Pulled up to the drive thru. Immediately - very pleasantly - told she would be with us as soon as possible. She came back in a minute or two - wasn't long at all. We placed a large order. She didn't falter, didn't lag. Read the order back exactly as was stated. Around we went to pay. We then met a SUPER pleasant woman at the window. Was very careful in handing back the drink carriers, and then the bags of food. Food was hot and fresh. Fries were good. Onion rings were good. Both were fresh. But what carried this place to a full 5 stars was that employee. She treated us like a million bucks - you would not have gotten better service at a Chicago fine dining establishment. This kind of employee - is solid gold. Order, despite the size - was spot on perfect. It was ready in a very speedy manner. Service was impeccable. I can't fault business owners for the state of the outside of a building. Who knows? Franchisee perhaps and we've been through a pandemic. They were probably closed for some time. I've seen rougher places. I can give them plenty of credit for their hiring choice. I was actually told since I was paying with cash, I needed exact change because they had no coins. They hadn't received coins with their money delivery. So, at lunch time, they decided to open anyway. I didn't want to use my card, because I was out of state, and didn't want my bank to shut the card down, as they had before. My order was $10.23, and I was paying with a $20 bill. When I suggested they Accept $10 even, I was told no, and told I could go get change at the gas station across the street and come back. The manager should have gone to the bank and got change before the store even opened. This is probably the most ridiculous thing that has EVER happened to me at ANY retail establishment in my 58 years on Earth. read more

Order was completely wrong! They put barbecue sauce and onion rings on the cheeseburgers when it's was supposed to be ketchup only... the lady she was most definitely high and I'm not talkin no 420 I'm talking that hard stuff, because they were not busy at all. Please do better. read more

Not sure how I feel about this place. I was traveling and hungry, and needed a restroom stop so it worked out ok. Employees were friendly. Restrooms are gross. Order a double whopper low carb and it was wrapped like a burger instead of a container, and was given cup of mayo. Do it yourself from a courtesy water cup kind of feel. Had to ask for a plastic knife and fork. Fries were good, and got a Diet Coke with it. Really struggling between a two and three star review but going for 3 as I got what I needed and it was just ok. read more

Terrible service!!! Order was completely wrong food was all jacked up and they wouldn't fix it.

Forgot half of my mom's order, so she had me come pick it up(seriously how do u forget a double texas wopper and 3 double cheeseburgers). Then when I got there it was 9:20 and they told me the lobby was closed. Online and on their door it clearly says they close at 10. You don't get to close early cuz you're lazy and wanna do less work. I literally had to drive an hour to pick it up and I had to piss, guess I can go to mcdonald's where ik they actually close at the proper time. Oh and they don't answer the phones so don't even bother calling, it's a waste of time. read more

We asked for nothing but cheese on our whoppers- we got everything on it. We asked for a chicken sandwich and got an extra whopper. With everything on it. DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE! It was horrible! read more

We stopped to get some food and when ordering the worker was mumbling and i kept having to ask her to repeat herself. When we got to the window, I handed her my card and she told me it declined on her end but then it worked. When we recieved our drinks they were watered down and when we got our food, we were missing our sauses, burger was wrong, no napkins, and residue from the deepfrier on everything. Rensselaer Ind Burger King is the most ridiculous excuse of a restaurant that I know. I was there on Tuesday January 14 I believe. After I placed my order at the counter the girls says to me you have to pay the exact amount of order. I can't make change. We have no money. Or pay by credit card!!!! Are you kidding me? Ugh. Normally I'm a 5 star fast food review girl. I was the only one at the drive Thru and service was quick (so that's good). I ordered sweet and sour sauce and they told me they were out so I asked for BBQ as a replacement. BBQ sauce was not in my bag when I reviewed my contents and by then I was already on my way again. Also, my fries were basically all the ends and little pieces that are over cooked. They were like warm temp. They were salty, which is good, but I mostly threw the lot out because it just didn't float my boat. Impossible whopper was as expected. This experience just didn't make me feel like a valued customer, which I usually do. read more

Interesting place, not your typical Burger King. Driving into the parking lot off of the interstate, go SLOWLY! Filled with potholes that will swallow your car. That was our first clue to high-tail it outta there. Second clue was no other cars in the lot, except for employees. If it wasn't for a bathroom break and we were hungry, we'd done a u-turn and got back on the interstate! Over half the soda selections didn't work, cheeseburger was cold, fries were hot though. I'm from out of state and I've been to quite a few Burger King but this place is bad. For starters the lobby was closed. Only drive-through. Was open we ordered the food to go we ended up getting the drinks no ice I ask and she responded did you see the sign NO ICE I'm guessing the sign had blown off didn't see no sign. Usally its Reg Bk goodness at this restraunt but has some odd outages was out of pop for a month or so then out of all but kids cups lately been out of onions. I'm sure the manager drove by a few grocery stores w onions on way to work a few times. maybe they not alloed to have a knife at store and only buy precut onions? read more
