The potato wedges are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just as they should be. The fries are great. I'd give the onion rings a miss. They're mediocre and pricey. They have a great kids' burger menu.
The interior is inspired and does have that USA 1950's dinner feel. I love the original gumball machines. The "street" running through the place is imaginative.
Too bad the service was cold and indifferent. Really, you can't pull off an American ambiance without cracking a smile.
Nonetheless, the food and decor are so good I'll give them 5 stars, think 4 1/2 due to the neither warm nor particularly friendly, not unfriendly, mind you, just not friendly either, service.
I'd love to come back and give their jalapeño poppers a try and maybe the chicken wings. Too bad they don't have the traditional blue cheese sauce. But they do have authentic American ketchup.
