She even made sure that she let me know of all the happenings going on at the library within the Burbank system, and some tips on the Libby database to Rent additional resource resources. This is a very small library, the smallest in Burbank. Very quiet inside. There was plenty of parking in a lot. They do have a dropbox for a book return. It's not the closest one to my house, but glad to know this is an option. Sylvia was a gem.

After being forced to order the only thing on the menu and my food was ready, they said they only accepted cash or Zelle only... something they should've disclosed to begin with or had a sign before I ordered. I didn't have either... they finally agreed to take Venmo. By then I was bummed out by the vibes and just took my food to go and left. There's nothing fancy there but since it's there might as well walk through. But along the main strip, they do have a good amount of restaurants, bakery and quick and easy dining. Not to mentioned some shopping along the way. We came for dinner with some friends which I didn't even know that that had a night market happening. I was told that it goes on during The weekend. It's nothing to fancy just a few vendors with homemade gifts and a few food stalls. It's a good way to showcase your business as it right along the strip where the movie theatre and restaurants are. I've also been to a Yelp event just along here which was fun. Downtown Burbank isn't crazy but it does pack a lot into it. With Finney's, Yardhouse, Granville to name a few of the bigger chain restaurants. You have the movie theatre, more restaurants and shopping along the strip. Then there's the mall at the corner. It's a few block radius which isn't too big but all packed in together. Also loads of sushi restaurants which I love. Plenty of parking at one of the many parking structures. There's street parking if you get lucky.

Just about every weekend, I find my way to Downtown Burbank. There is just so much here. Plenty of…read moreplaces to kill a little time, whether that be for clothes (Old Navy, Macy's, Ross), food (Panda, Silver Lake Ramen, Finney's Crafthouse), movies (an incredible 3 AMC's here) or just walking around to people watch. My wife and I have the AMC A List and so we're here at least twice a week, most weekends. I like that the area has an indoor mall portion as well as an outdoor section, and that there's businesses up and down the street as well. It gives you a ton of options for new things to try and places to get lost in every time you come. The area is walkable, and despite the best efforts of the city, free parking is still (mostly) available to the public. Hopefully, they keep it that way...I've gone with 4 stars because the city is now charging for some parking in the area, which I think puts a lot of extra pressure on the already-crowded free garages, and discourages business. Otherwise, this is one of my favorite places to be most weekends :)

However, these hours are contingent on the gardener, who may not show up or may come late / leave early. If you're coming from afar, it might be a good idea to email the owner at gardenofoz@me.com and ask about that particular week. I found the email address on a webpage about the garden. I emailed at the start of the week when I wanted to come but heard back the following week. Turns out the gardener had car trouble so the garden was closed the previous week. The owner did email me back again letting me know the garden would be open the following week, which was nice of her. So, if you're driving from afar, reach out to confirm. Don't come at the last minute just in case the gardener leaves early. It's not the easiest to access but hey, this is a private home and we're lucky to have any access to it. This is interesting for anyone who loves folk art, mosaics, outsider art, etc. It's a large space with a lot to look at. No photography is allowed. Parking is on the street. The streets are narrow and hilly but there should be available parking within a reasonable distance.

It's a beautiful dome structure with intricate and beautiful mosaic craftsmanship with plaques and stories to read. There's a nice little rose garden off to the side and just past the gates is a miniature shuttle replica. It was nice stopping in here.

The murals and art stretch from the near Chandler Ave/Vineland Blvd down to Chandler/Cahuenga Blvd... Short stroll to from the Metro B (Red) Line. It stretches for a half mile and is an easy 10 to 15 minute stroll depending on your pace. A few local staples at both end including Great White Hut (restaurant) and Iliad Bookshop, not to mention a great brewery in-between (Lawless), off Craner Avenue (tiny side street). Lots of parking in the area, free of restrictions, walkable distance to other parts of NoHo like my favorite dives The Good Nite and Bullet Bar, both on Burbank Blvd. Take a stroll through a slice of North Hollywood's Chandler Blvd Art & Mural walk and enjoy a slice of valley outdoors.

We strolled about 10 minutes and viewed some pieces. They were mostly nice, but really hoped there was some information telling me the background of the mural and the artist(s). Unfortunately, some were also tagged by graffiti. If you're nearby, it's a nice way to spend about 10-15 minutes on a stroll, and it's free to see. There was plenty of street parking. Wear sneakers as the walking surface can get uneven.

I am overjoyed that my books will now be in a place where others might get use from them for their various school and professional projects. I was so pleased today with the reaction I received I would be happy to donate the remainder of the research library to the Buena Vista branch in the future. I did ask for help to bring in the books to the library as I had just had a TIA stroke a few weeks back, Molly stepped up with a smile and a large book cart to help me:) I take comfort in knowing my beloved books will be looked after and be enjoyed by others at this local Burbank branch. The house Itself wasn't here originally but was moved from 921 East Wilson in 1980 and restored by The Glendale Historical Society. Built around 1888, the Doctors House is one of Glendale's two remaining Queen Anne-Eastlake style Victorian homes. I haven't been inside the house where it now houses a museum as it's only open Sundays from 2-4pm with the last tour at 3:30pm on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, even not being able to enter the house itself, I admired the beauty of its architecture just looking from outside as well as the pretty gazebo in front of the house.
