We were shocked at first, but are rebuilding our ministries with the guidance of our Interim Pastor, Gareth Icenogle. We have ramped up our music ministry significantly and are expanding our programs to attract people of all backgrounds, races, and ages. We had a series of outdoor concerts this summer which drew people from outside our church to come and join us for several evenings of dynamic music, professional musicians, and a wide range of music genres. So. Much. Fun. Come and meet Cinnamon, who leads us in music every Sunday, along with our more traditional Choir. Whatever music feeds your soul in the worship of God, we've got it right here! What's new here is how large the staff is now, more than at any point in the last 40 years. One improvement is that the sermons now generally have more contemporary illustrations than the last preacher. But the worship service has not changed, and the opportunities to serve remain the same. This congregation is propped up financially by their governing organization (Presbytery of San Fernando). You can count on this organization applying their will on the members here.

Although my idea of church…read morenow, 40 years later, is a quiet forest, or a place on the sand on the beach where I can hear my own heart, and communicate with God. Churches are like clubs. If you fit into the club you enjoy it. If not then not. My mother attends this church, and I have gone a couple times. It used to seem harmless and good for her. Now, it has changed. Pastor has changed, he is nothing like Andy. Also, a woman named Nancy who seems to be considered worthy there at LCPC, that has been talking a lot to my 92 year old mother with dementia. Nancy seems to believe she can come into our family matters, and coerced my mother with overdue force to take me out of my house away from from mother without any provocation. I have taking care of my mom for over 3 years now. This person has never been very helpful or present in Mom's life till very recently and her advice has been aggressive and intrusive and absolutely not near a Christian way to behave! Public should beware...if this "Deacon" Nancy, and that new pastor, Yousef are representative of the values and moral obligations of Christians in general in our community, we all should be appalled. Shame on them. Dividing a family, creating havoc instead of peace, allowing and with force putting one more homeless person on the street. Does any of that sound Christian like? Horrible. Don't go here! It's not where Jesus would go, or get close to. Run away

All three of my children were baptized here, and now my youngest is preparing for Confirmation this May. This parish has been woven into every chapter of my life. While I've spent time at other parishes over the years through my children's schools, there is just something special about St. Robert's that's hard to put into words. The warmth, the sense of community, the spirit...it's different. It's genuine, welcoming, and deeply rooted in faith. Father Marco is truly exceptional. He brings a warmth and authenticity that resonates with everyone. His homilies are thoughtful, relevant, and often sprinkled with humor...he has a gift for connecting with parishioners in a way that feels personal and meaningful. He doesn't just lead Mass...he creates an experience that draws you in, inspires you to grow in your faith, and makes you feel seen, valued, and part of something greater. After stepping away for a period of time, I returned a couple of years ago and the moment I walked back in, I was flooded with memories. From attending CCD as a child, to my husband going through RCIA, to quiet moments of prayer and reflection, to sitting beside my grandmother, who lived to be 101...this church holds so many sacred memories for me. Every person I've brought here has come back. There's something about this place that stays with you. St. Robert's isn't just a church...it's home. And I feel incredibly blessed and grateful that it continues to be such a meaningful part of my life.

You can hear the entire mass and the choir very clearly. I usually attend the Saturday night mass but if I come on Sundays, I usually go to the 10:30 am service. After the celebration of the mass, there is coffee, juice, cookies and other pastries served to the attendees. This is offered free but optional donation is welcome. I love both Fr. Dick and Fr. He is very knowledgeable about the Bible and preaches the Word of God boldly. I'm shocked to read some of the previous reviews from a few years ago. A true Shepard preaches the word of God in truth and Honor, which is what pastor Anthony does and should do! Unfortunately the word of God offends some individuals, but as a Shepard of his flock, pastor A.F. Teaches verse by verse of the Bible, it's not his opinions, it's the truth! We go to church to be fed the word of God and learn, the TRUE word of God. Sometimes this can be offensive or harsh but as believers we are called to live by biblical truths. I recommend this church to anyone who is new to the faith as I was, to anyone who is more interested and eager to learn about the Bible and get to know the Living God through his word rather than going to church to be told what you want to hear. I highly recommend this family of believer and for this to be a church were new comers can call home.
