I've been coming here since Dec 2018! Everyone here are like family and it's nothing but love and care for one another. Many people had reached out to pastor nick for anything and he has always been there. The music team are just so uplifting and can get you on your feet and clapping with them. The Welcoming Team along with the Parking Team are a great together and they help keep the front flowing. Come and join us, you won't regret it! Be welcomed as if you have been coming for years!

Dedication of the new building!

Ask the Community - CityLight LA Church

Does the church do baby baptism?

Hi Josie. The church believes that baptism is the public profession of the person's faith in Jesus Christ. Babies would not likely know who Jesus is.

Does this church have a choir (mostly wondering for my duaghter (6yrs) do the sermans keep your attention or are you fighting to not nod off in the pew? What kind of sunday school programs do they have for kids?

Hello. I went to this church last Sunday and I very much enjoyed it. I plan to keep going. They don't have a choir they have a worship team guitars, drums etc... it was great! The pastor was not boring at all! Message was clear.… Read more

We live in society filled with abundance of choices when it comes to churches. Honestly, it could…read morebe a bit overwhelming and scary. You see, we are living in times of uncertainty and deception. Jesus tells us in Matthew 24:4, "Watch out that no one deceives you." The Bible warns us of the possibility of this happening. Before I set out on my journey, I prayed for God's guidance. I asked Him to direct me to a church with a strong Biblical foundation. Well, God answered my prayers. It has been a year since I started going to Calvary Chapel Burbank (CCB). Pastor Tim is truly a man of God. His wife, Laura, is the example of Proverbs 31:10-31. And, let me tell you, Pastor Tim teaches right out of the Bible one chapter at a time. This has strengthened my growth, increased my knowledge, and in turn, has allowed me to question the validity of those who teach God's Word. The Bible does tell us, "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." 1 John 4:1 CSB. The only way to test the spirits is by knowing God's Word. If you got this far, I'd like to peak your interest with a couple of my favorites from Pastor Tim's teachings. One was on Matthew 1:1-17 and another on Philemon. Yes, Philemon, a one chapter book in the New Testament which was unfamiliar to me. Matthew, chapter 1 which is a bibliography. Although every chapter in God's Word is important, how do you make its importance so intriguing? Well, somehow, Pastor Tim managed it, both times. I challenge you to go onto the CCB website, click on archives, click on Sundays, and watch for yourself. I also welcome you to come out to service on Sundays. There's an 830 am service for early birds like me and a 10:30 am service if you're not.
