    Vineyard and lemon grove

Beautiful location up in the midst of a vineyard and lemon grove. It's a bit of a hike up a hill to get there, but the views, food, and service make the effort worth it. We each had pasta - one pesto dish, one pomodoro with vegetables, and one fish stuffed ravioli. All was excellent. As was dessert - a molten chocolate cake with creme anglaise. The wait staff was attentive but let us relax and enjoy the experience. A lovely night out for our first time in Cinque Terre.

We emailed and made reservations for dinner for the seven of us. Thank goodness we read some reviews before I going...otherwise we would have thought we were going the wrong way. It's a long hike up the mountain... we came from the beach side of Monterosso and it was a 30 minute walk with lots of steps. And yes you walk through the most gorgeous cemetery I have ever seen. The ambiance was ten stars. The wine a solid 4/5 and the food 3/5. But the view and ambiance are what mattered most to us. Totally worth the hike up!

We took a walk up a lemon tree lined street (very steep) and right when we thought about turning around we saw the stunning terrace of Buranco. We were greeted by the owners of the family Run business and slowly began enjoying the best meal of our trip to Italy. The views alone were priceless but the service was so accommodating and friendly that we felt at home. We did a short wine tasting and then went right in for the pasta which they were cooking 10 feet away from our table in a covered outdoor kitchen. The house dogs were sitting right next to us watching us without bothering. The wine was great and our food was served 30 seconds after coming out of the pan. I had the seafood carbonara and it was amazing. Everything was farm fresh. We ended with the limoncino.

Great place for a wine tasting! A little bit of a walk to get to but worth it. We did the wine tasting and had some snacks. Would definitely recommend coming back for dinner. The food looked great

Amazing location and views. We only stopped to enjoy some wine but there is a full menu that we wished we had time to explore. After the uphill trek on rustic cobblestone, the views and wine were worth it. The staff are professional, helpful, and welcoming. They will suggest wines, provide descriptions and pairings, and answer any questions. We enjoyed our white wines on this steamy day and capped it off with the house limoncello - drinking while overlooking lemon trees made it that much better. Worth the trip up the hill in this delightful little village.

Tasting menu comes with a huge portion of bruschetta. This is the portion for ONE! Pesto, tomato, & anchovy.

YOU HIKE THAT BIG HILL! It's worth it; I promise!..... Gaze upon the beauty of lemon groves and terraced vineyards. We had already had lunch, so we opted for the five glass tasting menu, which is actually six if you count the limoncello. I was shocked by the price at first, but each "tasting" is actually like a 1/2 glass; you don't need anything on the side. The environment is incredible, the wine is amazing, and you will love your life even more!

Buranco is a truly special and unique dining experience. This farm to table restaurant was opened during the pandemic, and is a yet-to-be-discovered gem. The food is delicious local fare and includes local ingredients, many of which are grown on the premises. (We asked for some basil and they literally walked up the hill and plucked it for us). The wine is all made there as well and is flavorful, bright and pairs brilliantly with the food. The grounds are exquisite. Terraced farmland with lemons, herbs, vegetables and of course grapes, are beautifully cared for creating a memorable and romantic setting. And last but not least the service. It is a true family affair. We were served by Irene (daughter of the owner and chef). At the end of the meal Govanni (chef) left the kitchen to welcome us. It was not your typical walk-by. He spent 20 minutes with us, learning about our family, sharing stories of his own and then treating us to both his homemade Lemoncillo (not to be connected fused with the more common lemoncello) and a serenade - singing a song in honor of the anniversary that we were celebrating. He also introduced us to his wife and in-laws. All part of a memorable and unique experience. Of our seven dinners in the area this was the highlight bar-none. Wish I could give it 6 stars. A must-try.

Most beautiful vineyard I have ever been to. We did the tasting me u for 30 euros which included three half glasses as well as a taste of lemoncino and schiattera, which was amazing. The views were incredible too!

Worth the walk!! This hidden gem is not easy to find but once you do you are in for a treat. The walk up this small side street and uphill climb but then once at the top you can enjoy some wine tastings and views of vineyard and village below. The guy pouring the wine was very nice and also very knowledgeable. Seems like it was a family run business and everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. They have several picnic style tables situated outside with spectacular views of the vineyard. Good news is the area is covered in case of rain. Even with all the tables full the gentleman pouring was very attentive and even brought out additional snack tray (including buschetta with pesto, olives,) all goes great with the pairing of wine. We went with the 5 wines for 25 Euro. This included a couple DOC wines, Limoncino, and the famous Schiacchetra 2013 (liquid gold desert wine) An excellent deal and upon my return to Monterosso will be back

    Wine, with a view!

Lovely place. Difficult to find. It's up a long windy road that feels like it's in someone's personal property and you shouldn't be there. Just keep walking and walking. We got there in the middle of the day and we're a bit confused because it's part of a hotel and the only people around were spraying things with water as they had just got done making wine (!!!). But eventually people showed up and we were able to sit in a really lovely area. It took forever to get our wine and snacks, but considering how packed Cinque Terre is, it was kind of refreshing. Especially considering how beautiful the grounds were. I'm really glad I didn't turn around when I couldn't quite figure out where this place was.

If you can manage to find this hidden gem, you won't be disappointed. You can get a glass of wine for €6 or try a tasting of 3 wines for €14. Buranco is the prized maker of the Sciacchetra. The red Syrah will blow your taste buds away. If you come on the weekends you may run into Angelo, the owner. You just might persuade him to give you a walk through the vineyard. Relax and let the sun set behind the hills as you drink some of the finest wine in Italy with some sampler food pairings. You also may need to remind the host your next sample is ready for you to consume!

This place is a hidden gem.... don't think, just go. Inexpensive, very kind people, and no crowds. For 25 euros each, we got 5 half glasses of wine, several fancy snacks as appetizers (cheeses, meats, bruschetta, etc), and cake for our dessert wine. In addition, our waiter offered us a private tour of the vineyard after we finished our tasting- for no additional charge. Best part of our trip so far, I highly recommend you stop by and support this wonderful family-run business. We were surprised this was not called out in Rick Steve's guide book, only a matter of time - go now while you can avoid the crowds!

We were wandering the graveyard and was told that there was a little vineyard on the trail where you can stop to taste some wine grown and made in Cinque Terre.. we had trouble locating it but finally made it there past all the vineyards. The grounds were so cute!!! Lemon trees surrounded by vineyards with a seating area and amazing views! They have options for tastings - 3 (white, red Syrah, and lemoncello) or 4-6 different tastings. They're decently priced, I believe our 3 tastings that also came with food (olive spread bruschetta and pesto brushetta with bread sticks and cheeses) was only about 16 euros a person. You can definitely just relax here and drink wine all day with the bunnies hopping around and their pet dog! The owners were friendly. I believe they also rent out rooms on the vineyards and there's an easier street down the hill to town! Unlike the states, the tastings here are generous and full glasses instead of small tiny pours. Wines were good, sulfate free cause it left zero headaches. I wasn't much a fan of the lemoncello here but the bruschetta were nice to have while drinking. Gorgeous views and the lemon trees definitely make it feel like Italy!

They grow beautiful Syrah and Cabernet Grapes.
