Dr Damian Clarke has been my family dentist for the past 25 years. I've never really had any scary…read moredental work done, but both my parents have, and they would never go to anyone but Damian. Due to a location change, I recently had to visit another dentist. He came highly recommended and was very competent, but he was a little rough, didn't have the best bedside manner, and said that I needed a bunch of very expensive preventative work. I realised then how good I'd had it with Dr Clarke and his lovely, experienced team. They are honest about what needs to be done, but don't go crazy suggesting work that may or may not be required. All the dentists there are noticeably super experienced, which puts even the biggest scaredy cat at ease. And everyone is so cheerful and pleasant, I've never really felt like going to the dentist is a chore. I've removed a star only because of the wait time; even as a 25-year patient, I still have to book kind of far in advance, and it can be tricky getting in at short notice - particularly during school holidays. But if you are the type to plan out your dentist appointments, you'll be AOK. Overall, highly recommend the whole team, especially Dr Clarke.

Dr Steward W Macdonald is a great family dentist that I've been visiting for years and am yet to have any problems with whatsoever. I work as a dental assistant so I know when dentists are good at their job, I am so glad I was…read morereferred here it was not an easy case by any means but I was told all my options, what it would cost and I didn't feel rushed or pressured into making a decision. Their infection control is impeccable which is really important for root canal as there needs to be a sterile field. The dentist was really thorough he checked my perio ( gums) and took an x-ray , he is also excellent at numbing up usually it takes me ages I was numb within 2 minutes which was great. I couldn't be more happy with the service of the dentist and his dental assistant who was friendly and efficient . My tooth now has a favourable prognosis he even managed to get part of a broken file out which is nearly impossible even for specialists . I have seen it time and time again people getting teeth extracted because it is cheaper but replacement options are just as expensive and they don't last forever not even implants. My advise as a dental assistant to anyone who needs root canal is to make sure they use a rubber dam to isolate the tooth from bacteria and also to help you to avoid swallowing the bleach solution used to irrigate the tooth, look around to ensure the staff aren't touching anything with their dirty gloves this can spread infection via other patients and know that root canals should not be painful it is the dentists job to be able to numb correctly. Don't sit there in agony, tell your dentist, they have an ethical obligation to stop and give you more anaesthetic The staff here tick all those boxes I couldn't be happier I would recommend them to anyone .

They really treated me with compassion, understanding the fear, and were patient with my squirming and wincing. Years later and I've recommended them to a lot of family and friends who live in the area. They've done major work on my mouth including root canals and reconstructions. When I was unemployed they gave me a payment plan to help me keep my mouth healthy without sending me broke. They really care about their patients and I really appreciate that.

His assistant was very nice on the phone and in person. I only needed a filling replaced, but was going to get a cleaning done as well. He was very quick to clean up the tooth and get it ready to replace the filling. I didn't need a shot as he was accurate and attentive to whether I was feeling pain. I did not in fact feel any. The new filling went in in under five minutes and he made three adjustments to the surface to make sure my bite was not affected by the new material. He refused to clean my teeth, said I had taken good enough care that a cleaning was unnecessary. The whole visit was done in 18 minutes and cost $170. Very pleased. I would recommend him without reservation.

Everything was clearly explained and I was given information brochures on my dental problems. The staff were so very helpful and I highly recommend Greville dental.

Greville Dental came up pretty quick after a search, it seemed like an okay place, so I went for it. I'm happy I did as I probably had the best experience at a dentist in my life. I was able to book the next day, I arrived on time, filled out a short form and was seen right away with hardly any wait. The dentist I saw - Shannon Yap - was friendly and direct and efficient and explained all that was going on in my mouth in clear language/detail, walking me through the X-Ray's after and pointing out a couple of things that needed amends, but also wasn't pushy about booking me back in etc. Then, turns out it's a Bupa Members First place, so the whole clean/consultation was covered even with a basic plan, and I was out in about 30minutes with a complimentary bottle of listerine and toothpaste (nice touch). For the first time in my life, I'm actually planning on going to the dentist regularly (every 6 months to a year) so long as I live in the area. It was an unexpectedly pleasant (for a dentist!) experience, and I highly recommended giving it a try if you don't like going to the dentist.
