Dr. Graham Irving has been my family dentist ever since I was a little girl. I remember my first…read morenervous visit to the clinic on Cathies Lane and I remember leaving quite excited to go back again. Yup, this is one dentist that will end your days of hating getting your teeth checked. He practices out of the Wantirna South Dentistry Clinic on Cathies Lane. This is conveniently located next door to the Wantirna South Medical Centre so if you're super health keen you can visit them after you see Dr. Irving. Dr. Irving is your regular dentist. He can't do anything spectacular but he does the normal stuff well and makes sure you don't feel any pain. That is, unless you're my father and refuse pain medication. Dr. Irving is also happy to accommodate for people like that too. He is good at making patients feel at ease, which is all I really ask of a dentist. Thumbs up!

Asked specifically on the phone if I can just book to have them out without meeting the dentist first as I dont know the process. Was told yes, the dentist would just call me if he had an issue with that. I actually had to call back because after i confirmed this i booked a week off work for the recovery. I asked the receptionist, "so i can definitely get the surgery that day? I dont want to book time off work if its not happening" she again said yes I can book the surgery. THe day before my appointment i called as i hadnt had any communication asking for x rays, and asked if they wanted my x rays for my surgery tomorrow. Was told to send through the link so i did. I didnt hear anything else so just showed up next day for my surgery, having arranged transportation and the time off work. The dentist seemed confused and said oh no, he hadnt seen my X rays as they couldnt access the link, and he couldnt do the surgery once he got them because it requires hospital surgery. I am honestly really upset and this was a horrible experience. Reception tried to find me an emergency appointment somewhere else for the next day somewhere but it couldnt be guaranteed that the new place would do the surgery same day either. I woild just have to go and hope. Ultimately i did not go as i no longer trust anything about this practice. 0 stars. I lost a weeks pay and had to organise people to cover my clients for no reason.

We are new to Melbourne and needed a dentist. We are with Bupa and this dentist was running a new…read morepatient special so that there would be no gap payment. I am so glad I did! The dentist, Dr Damian, was thorough, gentle and extremely competent. His philosophy is to avoid drilling unless it's necessary, which is great! I had a sensitive spot on my tooth, which I was sure was a cavity. He took a photo (in addition to X-rays) and showed me that the sensitive spot was due to the fact that I had brushed away the enamel on that tooth! He recommended an electric toothbrush so I didn't put too much pressure on that tooth. Also he polished down an old filling that was too bulky and made it hard to floss - for free! No other dentist had offered to do that for me. I was so pleased, I booked my daughter in (they have TVs on the ceilings and a children's specialist for cleanings). My husband will be going as well. Basically the dentist is fantastic, the equipment is brand new, they are well set up for kids, and they are very reasonably priced. And you don't have to be a Bupa member.
