I got a 1.5 inch rip in a brand new Aritzia Superpuff...saw this place had been in business over 15 years... made a huge mistake coming here for them to fix it! Dropped off on Friday picked up on Wednesday (5.5 days). I was actually horrified when I saw the work they did. The stitching is bunched and uneven. Makes the whole jacket front right panel pucker. I offered to, but she didn't even let me pay because she knew how badly it had turned out. They should've called and told me if they were not confident in fixing it. Sad to update it but I took a bridesmaid dress in for simple alterations (just shortening the hem in a two-layer dress). She charged me $58 for it, which is $15 more than the (what I thought was overpriced) rate at Clothworks for a similar dress. Not to mention, the hem is uneven. One side of the dress rests on the ground while the other is a solid inch above it. I mean nobody will notice when I'm in the wedding, but for more than HALF the price of the dress, it's disappointing. I stand by my opinion that for a quick turnaround and a simple job (i.e. my first experience), the prices are reasonable, but for something nicer, I agree with other reviews that I'd steer clear. read more

I had a wedding that I was apart of and needed my dress shortened. When trying this dress on after the alterations, it all fit and was the perfect length. However, when I got home and ironed it, it was still too long. I thought that she would've ironed it before hemming it to get an accurate length. I paid $58 which is reasonable for the amount I needed off and it being a two layer dress, however, I was disappointed when it was still way too long. If I could give 0 starts I would gladly do so. Don't make a huge mistake and go there. First, the price is extremely high compared to other tailors. Secondly your clothes can get ruined like my expensive coat. All I wanted was to make it a bit shorter. The lady working there did very bad job at doing it. The hem was hilariously uneven, no self respecting won would wear it. When I started complaining she would persistently tell me that it looked good while I could tell how bad it was and other customers also agreed with me. When I told her I would pay half of what I was supposed to, since I still needed a tailor to make it right and I would not trust them again to ruin it further, she agreed but while giving me a change back I saw that she took full price. I came to Bunsun two years ago for a repair on some expensive suit pants. My life was extremely busy then and I had completely forgot about the pants that I had left. I only remembered them five months later, but I had assumed they must've been thrown out or donated my pants by that point. Most companies I've worked for have similar policies for a month let alone five. So I left it alone. Every few months I'd drive by and remember my pants, telling myself that they must be gone by now. Finally, today, two years after dropping off my pants. I was out for a walk and happened to stroll by the shop. I figured, "What the hell. Might as well ask." I get in the shop, and I'm asked by a smiling woman if I'm in for a pickup. I explain that I'd dropped something off a long time ago and that I didn't expect her to have it. With a knowing grin, the woman responds, "are they pants?" To my astonishment, she walks over to her main pick-up rack and pulls my pants right off of it. "Wow. Two years!," she says. She brings my pants to the counter and asks for $15 and some change, the standard rate. The entire transaction went along as if I had just dropped my pants off last week! Although it wasn't much, I gave her the rest of the cash in my wallet. I can't even remember what was wrong with my pants, but on inspection, I can't find any problems! The only reason I'm giving her 3 stars is because I think she's beyond overpriced. Otherwise she's very nice and does a good job at a timely manner. She charged me $25 for the simplest hem on simple fabric. I'm used to paying $12-$15 for that same work. read more

She is very friendly and fast. I've had several things altered by here: -She fixed a busted pocket in a linen jacket of mine. $10, had ti done by end of day. -She has hemmed three pairs of pants, $10 each, took a few days. -She has shortened the sleeves on a linen jacket. Very quality work, took several days, cost something like $10. I'm not sure how she'd be with more complicated problems, but she's been terrific with everything I've given her. My partner's *okay* suit needed to be altered for our wedding. We chose Bunsun based on great word-of-mouth recommendstion. They were fast, affordable, and staffed with likeable people. Went in to have a dress shirt taken in. The lady took measurements and marked where it needed to be hemmed and told me it would be $20. I came back one week later and she gave me my shirt and told me it was $20. Before I paid for it, I wanted to try on the shirt to make sure everything was okay. It wasn't! One sleeve was skin tight while the other was somewhat baggy. I told her about it and asked if she could let it out because she took it in too much. The problem was she cut off the extra material! Even if the job was done right, I still would have been slightly upset. You're supposed to leave the extra fabric in case something happens, such as weight gain. She tried to fix the mistake, but the damage was done. She gave back my shirt and told me I didn't have to pay for the alteration. Really? I don't have to pay for the alteration you screwed up? How thoughtful... I can't even wear the shirt now. Very low quality work. read more
