I asked one how long he would be blocking the lighting isle (I would have come back) and all I got was attitude. I got my lamp after he moved his equipment, but he didn't like that I hadn't thanked him judging by the scowl on his face. I don't thank people with bad manners. The last time I was there I asked a guy to check stock. The face on him because I asked for help. The staff don't seem to realise that the store doesn't exist for their convenience. Stafford store is totally different. Friendly staff. Not sure what has changed, it used not to be like that. Management bringing down morale?

I have lived in The Gap, a stones throw over Settlement Road to Keperra, for over 30 years. During…read morethat time we have had to suffer fledgling home improvement stores, like Mitre 10, with a lack of supplies and services, a disappointing inventory of stock, and a lackluster team behind the counter who "couldn't care less." So what a blessing it was when Bunnings decided on Keperra to open a new outlet, as we had previously been using the Stafford store. Bunnings, whether you love or loathe their variety of Chinese-made goods, is a God send when you need it. There's almost everything you need when emergencies arise, and a variety of items for just DIY scenarios around the house or in the garden. It's of little surprise when I meet my neighbours most days and ask they about their plans for it. Bunnings Keperra seems to be always on the agenda. Nice one!

Making a conscious effort to avoid Bunnings and support the little guys (even though True Value…read moreHardware is a chain) I went here one Sunday afternoon hoping to get some information on compost bins and perhaps buy a couple of small plants. It's a fairly small hardware store, so I shouldn't have been surprised to find they only had three compost bins in stock, but I was disappointed with the lack of range and also the lack of interest displayed by the salesperson. The compost bins didn't have prices on them and the salesperson could only give prices "off the top of his head", which didn't really make me want to buy from there. I also went to look at some small flowering plants inside, but didn't find anything of interest and found it a bit expensive. I went there just for the nursery side of things, so can't comment on the hardware section of the store, but would recommend going elsewhere for plants and gardening needs.

We wanted to purchase some rocks for our driveway. We were really pleased with the level of…read moreservice we received from True Value Hardware Wellers Hill, particularly in relation to providing us with samples so we could make a better decision. Once we decided, we booked in a time for delivery and the guys showed up on time - bonus! - however, there was a slight problem ...they delivered the wrong rocks!! We called them back once we realised and while they couldn't rectify it immediately as it was a busy Sunday (and their supplier was closed), it was pretty close! Craig (CJ) came back at the end of the day to have a chat, understand the issue and agree a way forward. He arrived bright and early Monday to remove the incorrect rocks (without us even hearing him!) and returned as agreed to re-lay the correct blue stone. He was extremely apologetic, did this all on his own time, and did it all with a smile on his face. Yes, it would have been terrific if this hadn't happened in the first place, however, we all know things can go wrong! The thing we liked the most was the great customer service we received from CJ as soon as he found out we hadn't received what we were supposed to! Right from that point he was only focused on rectifying the situation and ensuring we were satisfied customers. For that, we'd like to say Thank You!

For starters, where would I go for food? I understand smaller shopping centres can be cursed with a terrible food court. They know their clientele - usually older residents and grumpy young people like me who can't stand the crowd at larger shopping centres. They are comfortable with their income and feel no need to upgrade despite the fact that their food court may consist only of a Muffin break, a roast carvery and a Chinese takeaway. Thankfully, Centro Lutwyche has a great food court. There's Turbo kebabs which makes the tastiest food court kebabs ever. There's also a decent fish and chippery and a Japanese place doing sushi and a range of cheap noodles and rice meals. For groceries, Centro Lutwyche has a Coles and Audi. God bless! I don't know how Brisbane survived without Audi for so long. There's also a Justice of the Peace Service on level four on Thursdays between 4pm -6pm and Saturdays between 10am -1pm. I won't go so far as to say 'Boycott Chermside!' but this small shopping centre with its free parking should suffice for all your weekly errands and grocery shopping requirements.

Corporate Culture thankfully is none of these things, they've hit the design bullseye with their range of nondescript and cool furnishings and fittings.
