Today I set forth on my maiden voyage to the new Keperra Bunnings store. Or should I say empire, because this Kingdom is cut into the side of the mountain, overlooking all the minions who will come and pay homage, perhaps purchasing a set of acrylic glue as an offering to the Bunnings Gods.
And all I can say is... wow. I have NEVER met customers as friendly or as helpful as this. To the man shopping with his wife and kid, pushing the trolley: I'd never have found Aisle 72 without you! The cheery wave you gave me is something I'll never forget. You know when you can just tell that someone is "a good person"? I would absolutely trust this man with my life. I'd let him babysit my kids. Hell, I might even leave him some money in my will (once I find out how to get money to give away in the first place).
Two of the customers had dogs. TWO DOGS! One was a lovable brown poodle, the other was a golden Labrador. I have to say, these two dogs stole the limelight from their owners - quite a feat, because the customers here were very friendly and charming indeed. Even the elderly man who couldn't immediately spot what he wanted among the wide range of home building supplies was a charismatic supporting character. We chuckled over out joint misadventure. Nothing lifts the spirits better than a chuckle from an engaging customer!
Parking was ample.
Important note: the website for the Keperra store features a photo of in-store stock, including a battery stand with the words "TART UP" on the side. This is not a prostitution business! Scroll down and you will see the words say "start up", and the "s" is hidden without scrolling.
Unfortunately, there are no photos of the awesome customers on the site. Go and see for yourself! If I could I would give this store an 11/10 rating! read more
