Have to leave a review for this motel because I so much appreciate these small mom & pop motels. So…read morehere are the things I really like about our room, which was two queen beds. The room was very clean. It was spacious and comfortable. The beds and pillow were good. It has a mini fridge with a separate freezer compartment which I really like for freezing water bottles for our cooler. You get to park right outside your door, love that because we pack a lot of stuff. The bathroom and sink area looked recently updated, beautiful tile. The sink area was outside of the shower and toilet room. So nice for putting on makeup while hubby is in the shower. Also, the price was way cheaper than any other place in town. Here are the cons, there were no outlets in the sink area. Could easily be added by running conduit on the wall surface down from the light. But there was an extra mirror and shelf in the bedroom area, that helped. The only other note is that the ceiling definitely needed fixing. There were loose ceiling tiles that looked like they had water damage. We could live with it but it sure ruined the look of the room, but not the function. There was some traffic noise, but we were in a room very close to the highway. Didn't bother us much. All in all it's a very nice place to stay!

I planned a trip to Fort Laramie and was looking for places to stay in the area. So glad I found…read morethis one. I was a little apprehensive at first because it wasn't in the town of Laramie. I couldn't have been more pleased with my stay at Twisters! Guernsey is a no traffic light town. Very peaceful and quiet. There is also so much to do in the area, besides Fort Laramie! Guernsey State Park is a MUST see! It's not far at all from Twisters. Probably about a 5 minute drive. The room I stayed in was cozy. It had everything I needed, cozy bed, and own bathroom (HUGE) with shower. The room rate was very reasonable as well. I was impressed when walking into the room. They provide some complimentary water bottles and some fresh baked goods (cookie and brownie) from the restaurant/bakery directly downstairs. It's those little gestures that mean a lot! One of the owners will communicate with you prior to your arrival. A code will be provided for the back door to the lodging area. It's located on the second floor. You will need to walk up a black metal staircase at the rear of the building to access the lodging floor. Another note is that it was quiet. I slept well and dozed off at a reasonable hour with no loud partying or people making noise. I loved that there was a lounge area right outside the room I stayed in. There were two cozy chairs with pillows and a table to rest your coffee on while reading a book. I used this area to map out the day's adventures while drinking my morning coffee. Also, the restaurant downstairs serves breakfast. Twisters will give you breakfast coupons for a free entree. Any extras that you order are additional charges. The entree and beverage are free. This goes with your stay, of course. Also, their meals are big! If you order the pancakes, plan on skipping lunch! I highly recommend the breakfast burrito! The owners are very friendly. It should be noted, the lodging (hotel) and restaurant are the same business. Don't forget to grab some goodies from the bakery before you depart. They provide wonderful options from cookies to sweetbreads. Loved that they have a bakery with homemade sweets. I highly recommend this place! I plan on returning for 4th of July weekend. I want to get back to Devil's Tower and marvel at the cosmos at night. Looking forward to returning!

The last trip we stayed in Cheyenne and had a nice visit; this time, we wanted to get a bit further north before stopping for the night, and Torrington is a good location; our flight was late, so we arrived just before midnight, quite tired, and the staff had us in our room within 2-3 minutes of walking in the front door - appreciated as we were asleep within minutes. The room was nice, the night and morning staff friendly, and the breakfast a good way to start the day. While we didn't get a change to use them, they have a pool and exercise room. The views from the parking lot are expansive in this beautiful, open country. The Holiday Inn is located around 20-30 minute from Scotts Bluff National Monument - we recommend a visit and recommend staying at the Holiday Inn when you visit Scotts Bluff. I have never even heard of Wheatland, Wyoming, but this was a welcome respite. Our rooms were large with coffee setup (a rare thing during our trip), two queen beds, refrigerator, and microwave. The room had wireless WiFi (secured) and several charging ports for this techie. The room was clean, but will probably need some updating in the near future. The only complaint that I had was the little square bed pillows. They look cute, but they are too soft to support my head. I would have loved to have a choice. I usually travel with my pillow, but we flew into Denver to pick up the motor home and my pillow didn't fit in my luggage. This may not matter to anyone else. To minimize Covid exposure for us and their staff, the hotel gave us a list of foods to select for breakfast. We called the lobby in the morning and the hotel prepared the food and packed it to go. I thought this was a great idea. One amazing thing was our check in experience. Check in was easy and quick. As we completed check in, the clerk gave us the cutest little basket. It had water, fruit, chocolate mints, and a muffin. They made us really feel welcome and special. Want to feel special, stay here.

Townhouse motel was a really nice place to stay. I was there for a couple weeks and would've…read moreprobably stayed longer if I could've gotten my dogs out into the dog run. There's a little fenced area that has some nice grass and a little dog hut for shade. The only problem was that the proprietors dog was out there from morning till night. She's a cute little dog, very friendly, however my dogs are puppies on their way to becoming large dogs, therefore, they are large puppies. They play really hard together and I was worried about the other dog getting caught underneath or in between the two of my girls when they were playing. I just thought that the proprietor would have taken her dog in for a little bit, at least an hour or so, so my dogs could've gotten out and played as well and seeing as I was a paying customer who was on track to stay 3 months. The proprietor was very nice, very polite and I never did ask her if she could bring her dog inside so that mine could play for a little bit. Maybe I should have but I didn't want to sound like a snobby person, as if my dogs were special or something, (they are to me but then they are my girls) I just thought that she would have done it without me needing to ask because she saw me every day walk the girls over to the fenced area and then turn around and go back the other direction because they couldn't get in there. I don't know... I guess the fact that I would've done it for somebody else does not mean that somebody else would do it for me. Maybe I was hoping for too much in that I wanted my babies to be out in the sun as well, like hers was every day, all day, no attention... Sometimes even out there all night long, I kind of felt sorry for the little girl actually because no one ever said hi to her, no one ever interacted with her, she was just put out there and kind of forgotten. I would stop and pet her when my girls and I were over by the fence but then I would have to turn around and take my girls the other direction because they couldn't very well just stand outside the fence in the parking lot there... I have no complaints whatsoever about this property. My only dissatisfaction was the fact that my dogs couldn't get out and play for at least an hour a day and they were locked in the motel room most of the time with the exception of when I would take them out on walks which were about a mile every time and probably three times a day. I work nights so I sleep on and off during the day, I get up at least three times and take them on their long walks and I just felt bad that my girls couldn't get out and play in the Sun while I was taking a short nap. We ended up moving into a small one bedroom, short term rental because I will be in this area working for three months. When I checked out, I stripped down all the beds, laid out the sheets so they were easily counted, laid out the towels so that they could easily be accounted for as well, I cleaned everything... Including mopping the floor... Before I checked out. Anyway if you don't have pets I highly suggest that you stay at the townhouse motel, you will be glad that you did. If you have rambunctious dogs that like to play hard... I would find somewhere else to stay however if you have an older and calmer dog, again I would highly suggest the townhouse motel. Christina was very kind and fair and her back up, Tara, is absolutely awesome!!!!!

We made a reservation for this property by calling the Cobblestone's Wyoming telephone number…read more Unbeknownst to us, our call was routed to a 3rd party reservation firm and they made the reservation. They also billed us for the room that day. That should have been a red flag. I let that item of note go as we were told that a cancellation was available if needed. Sadly, they did not share the details of what would occur with the cancellation if it was needed. Due to an illness, we called the hotel to cancel our reservation some 36 hours out. The hotel clerk told us that they could not cancel this because they did not make the reservation. Instead, they referred us to another vendor. After wading through the many menu options and a wait on hold (what a treat that is!), it was explained that this vendor also did not know anything about our reservation and we were referred back to the hotel. Sounds like a Catch 22 or a nightmare, doesn't t? I found a number on my AMEX Card statement for the reservation firm who billed us and called them. They were able to cancel the reservation, sadly with only the taxes being refunded. One nights stay was held back as a cancellation penalty. We were penalized for simply cancelling. I could understand that policy of we cancelled the "day of", but 36 hours out? Please!!! It was explained to me that that is their policy, not a policy that was fully explained to me at the time of the reservation. They have a policy and so do i! My policy is to let people know about this scam. As of this posting, that is where it stands. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT CALL THE HOTEL FOR A RESERVATION. IT IS A RIPOFF!!
