Extremely good quality Italian cuisine near the downtown Palma area in Mallorca - definitely recommend as a nice change-up from the traditional tapas and seafood options that are prevalent in Mallorca.
The bread is served with incredibly fresh and delicious olive oil (which we were told is sourced directly from the owner's farm), as well as hummus.
We started with an appetizer - Aubergine (Eggplant) Caponata with Raspberry and honey which was topped with a Quail egg. Very fresh, and the flavors played together perfectly.
For entrees: We shared the slow-braised Veal Cheek cooked in red wine (which was a special) and a pasta dish served with asparagus and pancetta in an incredibly rich and creamy saffron-infused carbonara sauce. Both were just as delicious as they sound.
The location is small and intimate, but not cramped. We really liked the open-kitchen concept, able to see the kitchen staff in action and getting a sneak peak at all the dishes that were coming out.
Wine prices were pretty standard, and service was definitely above average from what we experienced in Mallorca.
The prices were middle of the road, leaning towards the more expensive side. But portion sizes and taste absolutely justified the price point. read more
