Recently enjoyed a pleasant dinner with friends at "The Wheel."…read more A few things to mention is it is recommended to make a reservation, especially on the weekends, considering how packed it gets. Also, the parking is horrendous due to its small parking lot. Therefore, the best parking space you could get is in the lot over. Inside is very spacious with lots of tables, a lounge area, and a bar. Its interior has a very industrial chic design that is perfect for a night out with friends, family, or a significant other. It also gives off a vibrant and relaxed vibe on the outdoor patio overlooking the waterfront. Ambiance rate: 8/10. The food my friends and I ordered: 1. R.I. Style Calamari: These were delicious! The sauce made it extremely flavorful! However, I wish it was a bigger portion and less amount of banana peppers. Rate 7/10. 2. Lobster Roll: This dish was yummy! The lobster tasted fresh and the bread was soft and but. However, I would've preferred for the roll to be warm, instead of cold. Plus, the fries on the side were mediocre. Rate 7/10. 3. Roasted Branzino: This entrée was tasty, especially the sauce it was doused in. A major dislike about this dish is how it's completely filled with bones in every bite. That part made it very difficult to eat. Rate 6/10. 4. Seared Sea Scallops: This dish was very scrumptious! The scallops were soft and the sauce was delectable! Rate 8.5/10. The staff were friendly, and the service was moderately quick. Staff/service rate 6.5/10. Overall, this is a nice place to enjoy a nice dinner for any occasion if you're in the area!

Love that mocktails are on the menu- it's increasing in popularity and I can really appreciate it as an option for individuals that aren't drinking for whatever reason. There were four of us for dinner and the other three meals were equally bad. Additionally, we ordered rice and beans as nothing comes with the overpriced food, and the rice was uncooked pretty much throughout. The kicker to this entire experience -- we started seeing mice running all around the tables near where we were sitting. We addressed these concerns with our waiter as well as the employee (Stephen) who claimed he was covering for the manager tonight and he acted as though he could care less that our meals were bad and told us "he will get the mice." The health department should be called on this restaurant. Upon arrival, we asked about the Happy Hour that they advertise and were told by the waiter they do not do Happy Hour. Worse restaurant I've eaten at in my entire life, and I will never come back here. I would not recommend this restaurant whatsoever. Overpriced and the lowest quality of food I've even seen in my entire life. Additionally, customer service is non-existent. Not once we asked how our meal was, what could be done with making this experience right, etc. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE - you will get a better meal at Taco Bell! The Managers/Owners should be ashamed to serve what they serve in this place. Here's my tip -- get mouse traps or bring an exterminator in before you open your doors!

Last week I stumbled upon an advertisement from Glamour nightclub advertising $100 bottles of Ciroc…read moreor Hennessy bottle service. I thought this was a pretty good deal, especially spending most of my time in New York City where one could expect to pay upwards of around $300 for the same bottles. We were greeted by the manager who informed us this promotion does not include tip or tax which was no problem as i would not expect it to be. My thoughts were okay 20% tip and tax were walking out of there $130 - $150 depending if we left more tip or not. Once we were seated the host informed us it was only on certain flavors of Ciroc which we had not be informed about of before hand but at the price point i was not going to be picky. We decided on a bottle and the host came out poured us drinks and walked away. About 30 minutes she returned and asked us for our payment, in which we gave her a card and she declined to accept my Visa debit card. She informed us that the bottle service is cash only. I asked to see a manager because we were not informed at all that it was cash only, especially being how I wound up paying for an $80 round at the bar directly with the same card. The manager came over 30 minutes later demanding we use the ATM and pay cash for the bottle service or he was going to call the police on us. At this point it wasn't even about the points I wanted to receive on my credit card it was about the simple fact that the management was selectively making us pay cash and we had never been informed until I was two drinks down. Just a quick pointers for management if you're only accepting cash than you should tell you're patrons before, also I would suggest if you're only accepting cash than make sure you make everyone follow the same rules as you loose credibility when you're management is saying one thing and I can go to the bar buy a more expensive round and put it on a card. Or maybe it was the fact that my party and myself where the only Caucasians in the club and they were looking to take advantage of us due to racial stereotypes? I didn't really want to bring it there but nobody else seemed to have this issue just our table? The supervisor or whoever was demanding CASH couldn't even say anything but look away and say Cash only or I am calling the police because he knew it was wrong. In the end what seemed like a good deal just turned out to be a hassle and ruined my night.

From the moment we walked in, the hospitality from the staff, and chef made us feel right at home. We started drinks with a Strawberry Cosmo and a Paloma Spritz. Both refreshing and dangerously strong in the best way possible. For apps we came for the Crispy Duck on Sushi Rice, and as someone who usually scared to eat duck, this completely changed my mind. The duck was unbelievably crispy, similar to crispy prosciutto, and paired perfectly with their special sauce. We also had to do the Crab Cake was another standout, especially with the house-made Green Goddess dressing. The chef even came out to explain how he prepares the sauce, which made the experience feel much more special. For the entrees, we ordered the Linguine Fra Diavolo, loaded with perfectly cooked shrimp and the perfect amount of spice, alongside the Steak & Chips finished with a truffle vinaigrette. Somehow, every single dish just kept getting better. And because we clearly hadn't eaten enough, we had to try the Bacon Mac & Cheese Balls with smoked tomato sauce. I honestly could've eaten an entire plate of those. To end our meal, the chef surprised us with his Duck Egg Brownie, and it was one of the softest, fudgiest brownies I've ever had. A 2 hour train ride sounds crazy... but Flinders Lane made it absolutely worth the trip. I can't wait to come back to try the kangaroo!
