I have horrible thinning hair because of family genetics and medications. It's made me very self aware and adds to me a feeling of inadequacy to my life. Being that it is what it is, I'm in the public eye for my job and just know that vanity helps sell one's product. So I'm all about the pretty song and loving me, but I like the outside to be as pretty as my inside. I came in right before closing (6pm) on a Thursday. Carol was so helpful in finding a petite style for me and letting me try on different options. I was ecstatic at the help. Other shops I have been to in downtown were rude and pushy and I vowed not to come back. Carol was great and assured me that if I wanted to think about what I tried on and come back the next day I could and that she would hold them for me for a day. So I did! I bought 2 wigs and donated my other 4 to their charity (women's cancer center at suburban and Baptist) they other thing they can do is cut the hair in the wig to fit your face so it's even more yours (once you buy it that is) and will help you with any other wig questions or re cutting. I go through a lot to find the 100% synthetic kanekalon hair that I needed to make my dreads. I did a lot of research and a lot of investigation on how to make my dreads before I decided to undertake this task. Yes I could have ordered handmade dreadlock extensions online, but what fun is that. I decided to make my own. At first, I was a bit scared, but once I started and figured it out with the grace of god, the help of youtube, and the kind worker Rachel from here...I was Ready. I bought most of my goodies here and Rachel walked around helping me pick up all the accessories that I needed. She explained some things to me and I actually taught her a few things as well. Win Win. The shop was neat and tidy. It was well laid out. I am so glad I found this place. They sell wigs, hair extensions, weaves, hair accessories, jewelry, and other random items. As we were in the middle of trying them on, this older man, (which I'm assuming is the owner) literally came over and yelled at us in front of everyone in the store saying we needed to hurry up and that there were people waiting. It embarrassed me and my friend so we just stopped everything and left. As we were leaving, nobody else was trying anything on. So I was confused on why he felt the need to be so hostile with us about hurrying. I was seriously interested in purchasing the wig, but definitely not after this experience. I won't be back.

She offered to let mom try it on but mom would never take off her hair in public (ie 3 people)!!! So she gave my mom a wig head and wig pins and a brush and comb and let her style and feel the texture of the piece to see if it would suit her. We had a great time chatting with Alice. I wore it the next day on a sunny day and realized just how much I didn't like it so I went to return it. No returns on this $300+ wig. But there was no mention of a return policy and I had a receipt. The owner quickly showed me a framed statement that I would compare to hieroglyphics posted behind the sales desk. She offered to help fix the wig, cutting on the already too short top, and I left with the wig looking even worse than when I went in. She said it was because of health reasons and was against the law. But I've had no problems returning wigs from Amazon. It was quite a mistake going here and I wouldn't wish this place on anyone.
