I was driving the mains as hard as they could and I managed to dial in a severe sonic wall of full, rich sound with just enough top end to deliver the highs. The seemingly innocent looking jbl monitors ensure u hear every dynamic nuance guaranteeing a perfect reference point and a sinister level of decibels should u need to unleash some serious sound pressure levels. If you know how to mix, the gear is more than capable of producing blistering levels of sonic mayhem yet remain clean and defined throughout the entire mix. Rock solid sound proofing and acoustically treated walls maintain low leakage and controlled sound absorbtion. The shure sm 48 mics lack the crisp brightness and full bottom of it's big brother the sm58, thus needing a small boost in the top end of ur strip. Even then the sm48 falls short of the legendary 58 sound. Very similar but not. Beringer boards r simple, powerful and boasts more than decent 24 bit onboard rotary controlled sound fx. The Beringher /Jbl systems r responsive and effective choices for tight clean sound with enough head room and punch to propel you when needed, yet subtle enough to still be sweet and dynamic as well making these rooms suitable for all styles of projects/bands. Clean, secure ,comfortable pro rooms w lots of outlets and space. Lighting would not go off which drove me nuts,as I bought my own lighting which had to compete with bright overhead floods. A dimmer would be a perfect addition. Love the complimentary fresh coffee and chilled water provided. I can't w8 2 return for the next session!!! Plug in turn up,BLAST OFF! U should go,... This place is a dump under the new owner. The three music rooms on the first floor are now gone,…read moreand the 'penthouse' on the second floor is now a third of the size with a big black curtain divider and filled with sewing machine stations. The complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and hot/cold water machine are gone, and there is nowhere to put your guitar cases as the tables have disappeared, too. As I said, it's a dump. Look elsewhere for a band rehearsal space. Once Music Makers was sold it was over. The room upstairs is just a very unpleasant place to make music now.

Worst customer service ever experienced in any business. Been a regular customer of Mystic Rhythms…read morefor easily 5 years. Almost every week we rehearsed here, and almost every week the owner would berate us for reasons beyond understanding. Not kidding around here, it's genuinely bizarre. We continued to play here through Covid and support the owner, Sean, yet even then we would leave most nights feeling bad because we weren't allowed to go without being "put in our place". It feels awful writing this review because of the amount of time I have spent here, having fun with friends. You can be as respectful as possible to his business and him, and still feel like you are a nuisance. Today, I was called an "asshat" by Sean because we expressed concern about getting to the studio in the snow, as we all drive from various locations. He told us if we didn't show up we would be charged (even after 5 years of loyal business), then after we figured out a new way to get there he insulted me and blocked me for saying we would be making it work. I wish there was two sides to this story, but there unfortunately isn't. Although the rates here are good, IT IS NOT WORTH DEALING WITH SEAN. You get to a point where the value does not outweigh the abuse. We had asked ourselves for sometime why we put up with it, on a weekly basis, and today we finally have made our mind up why this business needs to be avoided.
