Beware if you are considering hiring James Nichols of Bulldog Public Adjusters. I confirmed with the Texas Department of Insurance that Bulldog Public Adjusters' license expired on June 16, 2025. Yet, after this date, he continued to act as my public adjuster on a claim with USAA, at least maintaining the appearance of representing me and invoicing me--all while failing to take any meaningful action on my claim. For weeks, my emails, calls, and texts went unanswered. His delays caused my house fire claim to stall and cost me thousands in additional housing and storage expenses. When I finally asked him to return funds I had paid him, he admitted his license had expired but refused to refund any money. I am in the process of filing a formal complaint with the Texas Department of Insurance. If you're considering hiring a public adjuster, I would encourage you to check their license on the TDI website. Operating as a public adjuster without a valid license is against the law in Texas and can constitute fraud. read more

James Nichols/Bulldog Public adjustors is great! Highly recommended. If you need help fighting your insurance company to get what you deserve for your house damage claim, this is the guy to call. He knows how the system works and tricks the insurance company will use to underpay our claim.
