The place feels well cared for and I also felt cared for as a customer! The groceries/ bulk foods all seem very high quality. I had a vege pate sandwich and it was delicious. They had a lot of nice looking sweets, as well, but I held myself back . . .next time!

The apples had brown lines inside and I decided to take them back. The manager who came to process the problem was aggressive and disbelieving of my complaint and told me that I only had 48 hours to return the produce. He eventually took them back but I was made to feel that I was in the wrong and he gave me a story that they spot checked fruit from the cartons. I offered that he should open up any of the untouched apples I was returning - I knew they were all bad. He declined and eventually gave me a refund. An altogether unpleasant experience. I don't know this man's name but I can find out who it was. They could do better and the manager could have been more accommodating and less could have had a less distasteful attitude.

And if you bring your own bag, they just shove your purchases to the end of the counter and expect you to pack your bags yourself--paying premium prices for premium product and they just shove you off on your own. Their selection is somewhat limited at least at this location, although the store itself is fairly large. They also are frequently out of products--their organic cream, for instance, is completely out two out of three visits. We've been here about 7 times since we're new to the neighborhood but have since found much better natural food stores. Would love it if this place was even passable, since it is very convenient for us, but I think it's going to be a pass for us in most cases going forward.

T&T is the largest Asian supermarket chain in Canada. I went to the one of the Montreal stores,…read morethe first one I've ever been to and the experience didn't disappoint. It was very busy, with a full parking lot but there was a enough space for people to get around in the aisles. This T&T was massive, with a wide range of fresh and frozen groceries and meats, seafoods, as well as a bakery, chinese bbq station and a variety of supplies. Everything was well-organized and the staff seemed friendly. My wife and I are visiting, we're staying at a hotel with a refrigerator and stovetop so got frozen beef, fresh mushrooms and package noodle soups that we could make for snacks. We didn't get too much because we intend to experience the local restaurants and businesses. I can't comment on how the prices normally are but it seemed like they reasonable by current U.S. standards. We used the self-check out which was straight forward.

On our first visit, my husband and I stopped by this location this past Thursday night, 7 pm. The hot bar, right by the bakery was packed. Everyone was trying to scoop up food to purchase for dinner. There really wasn't much left except fried rice and chow mein. Because we were hungry, my husband ended up choosing some dim sum (siu mai and har gow). I purchased these cute steamed character buns (because why not?). I was also so happy to find this one particular tea bag that is honestly one of the best Hong Kong style, but hard to find back at home in the US where I am from. The price at this particular location was pretty good since this item was on sale (but even at the full price, it is still cheaper than buying it back at home) and wished I had purchased all the remaining boxes to bring back home since the T&T Supermarket in Ottawa sells these at a higher price. When we came back for a second visit, it was nice to see an employee at the jian bing (Chinese crepe) station, since it was not available to be made fresh when we had visited the night before. I am not sure what the price was but kind of regret not having one made fresh for us during this second visit (this is the only supermarket that I have seen that even has this available inside a market. The Asian markets I have frequent back at home have wheel cakes made fresh for purchase though). I like that there is a large dining area in which you sit and eat your food items with a actually a few different places you can choose from (including outside). There are also restrooms available too. This market was clean and everything was nicely organized. Overall, it was easy to navigate the store. Would definitely come back if I lived in Montreal.

This place makes me dream of having friends over again whenever covid restrictions have lifted!…read more The base pricing here for regular sized items is ok. Some of it is cheaper than grocery stores and others are more expensive. However, some are definitely a great price if you buy 3 or more. Example, the 510g of McCain Deep'n Delicious sell for $4.99 when on sale at the grocery store and typically is $5.30ish regular price. Here, you're getting them for only $4.97 each and that drops to $4.47 if you buy 3 or more. Also if you want to buy a year's supply of flour, no need to pay overpriced for the 2.5kg bags at $4.99 from the grocery store! Here, you can secure a 20kg bag of Robin Hood flour for only $14.99. Major cost savings. You'll never buy pre-made bread ever again! If my math is correct, this would be equivalent to getting the 2.5kg bags for only $1.75. A customer walked in an asked for a pallette of 40 x 20kg bags of flour. I guess they know a good price when they see it too! Although they're President's Choice, they didn't ask for my PC points card. Looks like it might not apply here. They have tons of takeout containers and boxes too. Great for food a fundraiser.
