So I'm not a golfer. Not at all. But I enjoyed it and this place is good for beginners (and those intermediate and advance people too, of course). There are nine holes in total but you can play 18, you'll just have to repeat the course. Not that that's a bad thing particularly if you're starting out.
Non members are welcome. We had a voucher for a round of golf but since we had an extra person we only paid $14 for them. We also had their fish and chips and it was massive. You get two pieces of fish, some salad and chips. It may not sound like much but it was.
If you are a beginner like us, then I strongly recommend getting there early, around 11am. We had the course to ourselves for about 2 hrs before others started coming. So we were able to learn how to hit the ball and such. If it gets a little crowded and you're a slow golfer, it's best to let the faster ones ahead of you just so you don't feel rushed and so that they can go on with their game.
