I have shopped at Dunham's a few times. The coupons they send over to me are pretty good and the…read moresales they have are nice. I can't really complain about that. I've purchase clothes, shoes, ammo, fishing gear, etc., and they have pretty much the stuff you need when you need it. The one thing that doesn't allow me to be a loyal customer is their policy on the sale of guns. They have a great selection of guns and when they have a sale, the sale price is absolutely great. The think is, I never purchase a gun from them no matter how low their sale price is. The reason is, their policy is to not remove the trigger lock until after you have purchased the gun. So, you can't get a true feel for the gun. You can't get a feel for the trigger. You can't get a feel for the weight. Three very important things, especially if you conceal carry. I have already passed on THREE guns that I ended up purchasing elsewhere. I always forget that they have this policy. I will get a great price on a gun I am interested in, emailed to me. I'll drive the 8-miles to the store, just to be reminded that they will not remove the trigger lock so I can get a true look at the firearm. They always suggest that I go to another gun store, check the gun out, and go back to them to purchase it. I will NOT do that. That is just wrong. If I'm going to go to another gun store to check it out, I will purchase the gun there, and not and Dunhams. I even had one clerk at the store tell me that the miss out on a lot of gun sales for this policy. I know it's not the clerks fault, so I don't get angry at the clerk, but I just can't buy a gun from a store that won't let me truly look at it.

UPDATE This place…read moredoes not follow federal guidelines, rather their own liberal policies! As everyone knows the temporary license issued (paper copy) is a legal federal documen! But here at the failing liberal "sports" store they refuse to except it! Do not shop here, not like the will be around much longer anyway! UPDATE SHOOTERS had no problem excepting the legal federal document! So you wonder why you will be closed soon, your liberal business policies is why! For you lost out on an easy 1k+ sale, not smart business but then again it's Dunham!

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses…read more Thank you! Jim handled an out of state sale and transfer for me and it couldnt have gone better. He brokered the deal flawlessly. I especially appreciated his making sure I was getting what I expected by inspecting the pistol I was buying off Armslist. It wasnt until he made sure it was in pristine condition, that he released the funds to the seller and sent my new addition to my arsenal off to my transferring FFL. Again, Thank you! I wish there were more people like you in this world. It'd be a better place to live. Hillary for Prison! GO TRUMP 2016!!! I were mislabeled on the shelf, some without price tags. Then when I found what I wanted, there wasn't a box for it, missing the quiver, missing the arrows, and these were supposed to come with the bow. No one had any archery knowledge, or willingness to help. Honestly, this store is in desperate need of real leadership and trouble shooting. It looks like I'm not the only disappointed customer, based on other reviews. Sad really!

FROM LEMONS TO LEMONADE…read more From the time I purchased my soon to arrive item on December 1, 2025, my customer experience was a NIGHTMARE. (And, it confounded me because I have previously spent big bucks as an established customer and that this purchase was a high dollar product.) From misinformation on the website about the product being in stock (when it was not), to lies and false promises from the call center agents (the first 2x I called about my order) and then being told that employees of a sister-store (that actually had the item) would NOT communicate nor comply with a co-worker's request for help/information (which I found to be incomprehensible and totally shocking and unacceptable), it was frustrating, upsetting and nerve-racking because the clock was ticking to earn a Rebate from the manufacturer for the product by Dec. 31, 2025. And until about, the 15th, when I finally reached call center rep "Kevin" who kept his WORD and got me in touch with Isaac B., the Assistant Manager for Customer Service, who turned out to be my savior and the man who turn my disaster of a transaction from lemons to lemonade !! So, to sum up KUDOS to Isaac B. (who became my Santa Claus) and commendations to Kevin & Andy (in Billing) and honorable mention to Amanda the last call center rep who listened and followed-through. As a side bar, this gift to myself is sort of a Bucket List item to remotely bring a little happiness to myself due to the 39 year loss of my 2 children, who were kidnapped in 1987 and who have NEVER been found. (SEE: the links below.) So THANK YOU for a great man like Isaac and those members of his team who truly understand the concept of Customer Service and how it can impact not only a customer but also another human being. Great selection of "whatever items" you need from their shop in the back, and a gunsmith who has about a week turnaround for your special gun specific needs. I have been ordering my items online and having them shipped to Red Dot for a number of times, and each time they have been all very court and friendly. Paperwork is filled out, and approval comes back, and since I ordered it online, and purchased it then, by the time it ships (takes about three days if not more to send via UPS) I don't have to wait an additional 3 days. I pick it up that day and leave with it. Highly Recommend this shop.
