I'd rather see old business signs and salvaged architectural stuff than the figurines and glassware you see in a lot of antique booths. It's just more my speed. Set to an appropriate background of old big band type music, I looked at Whiskey City's array of light fixtures, theater seats, corbels, furniture including school chairs, doors, door hardware, stained and leaded glass windows, trunks, wood barrels and military items. They even had an old gym scoreboard. If you're trying to find the store by address, be sure to turn off SW Washington and head around the back side where you will see the signage. Was immediately greeted by a lovely mustachioed man named Martin (thank you again, Martin!). He walked me through what I needed to do and guided me around the various aisles picking up parts. You could feel the difference in the confidence and expertise of the employees here (this is the first small hardware store I've been to for projects)- they're professional, hardware nerds! Martin even had that goofy sense of humor so not only was the trip very efficient, it was quite fun.
