We couldn't be happier with the work Build Up Remodeling did on our pool. Our pool had seen better days. The plaster was peeling, several tiles were missing, and tree roots had cracked the coping and started lifting the surrounding concrete. We also had an old automatic pool cover system built into the pool, which made the whole project a lot more complicated. From the first meeting, Jessi was great to work with. He explained everything clearly, kept us updated throughout the project, and helped us through the permit process. He was also incredibly patient while we took our time choosing the tile and finishes. We never felt pressured, and he always made sure we were comfortable with every decision. Every crew showed up on time, worked hard, and cleaned up before leaving each day. You could tell everyone took pride in their work. When everything was finished, it honestly felt like we had a brand-new pool. The new plaster and tile look amazing, the damaged coping was replaced, the old pool cover system was removed, and best of all, we no longer have to worry about the tree roots causing more damage. The whole experience was much less stressful than we expected, and that was mostly because of Jessi. He was always available when we had questions and made sure everything was done the right way. If you're thinking about remodeling your pool or backyard, I highly recommend Build Up Remodeling. The quality of the work, communication, and overall experience were outstanding, and we wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. read more

Build Up Remodeling redid our pool a few months back and I'm honestly still happy every time I walk out there. It was in rough shape before, kind of dated and just not something we wanted to spend time around. They tore out the old concrete, repoured it, added pavers, and instead of just squaring off the edges they ran bushes along the border that give the whole thing a finished, put-together look. The part that actually changed how we use the yard though is the two separate sitting areas, one on each side of the pool. My coffee spot in the morning is on one side, and somehow by the time evening rolls around everyone's drifted to the other side instead. It wasn't a huge job and we kept it simple, just concrete and pavers, no fake grass or anything fancy, but it completely changed how much time we actually spend back there. read more

I had this contractor out for a small project (gravel install, concrete patch, and some miscellaneous work). The initial quote and communication were fine, but things broke down once the project started. The contract listed payments "upon demolition," "upon completion," etc., which I interpreted to mean after each phase is completed. The contractor clarified that he interprets this to mean payment at the start of each phase. I did not agree with that interpretation, and we were not able to align on payment timing. Work had already begun at the time this disagreement came up, which is why aligning on payment timing before continuing was important. Despite this, the situation escalated quickly. The contractor became argumentative and made personal comments, including suggesting I must have only worked with unlicensed contractors. When I pointed out the ambiguity, I was told, "the contract means what I'm telling you it means," which was concerning. Ultimately, he told the crew to stop and left the job. I've done many projects and haven't encountered this kind of disconnect between written terms and verbal expectations, combined with that level of communication. My goal was simply to ensure we had a shared understanding of the contract terms before proceeding. I would recommend making sure you are fully aligned on payment structure and scope before any work begins. read more

Would highly recommend working with Build Up Remodeling (and Jessi)!! He came out on a Wednesday for a consultation to have artificial grass and privacy plants installed in our yard and he was here by the next Monday with a full crew who completed the job in ONE day! We got 5 quotes before booking his team - we felt comfortable with his experience and the price he was offering for the job. We will definitely be working with this team again. read more

Ohhh Myyy Goodness!!! My wife and I finally found a company that you can trust! I cannot even tell you how many contractors we hired over the years that messed us up big time, that once they started the project, they were sloppy, disrespectful, unprofessional, and fought with you every step of the way. Even simple jobs were a mess. BUT, FINALLY, NOT 'BUILD UP REMODELING'!!!! The owner, Jessi, from the very beginning was all over it! He was extremely professional, extremely knowledgeable at the expert level in all areas, and at the highest extreme level, committed to exceed our expectations. We had stone pavers from 8 years ago that had faded somewhat due to the sun, and a connecting walkway needed to match. When eight other contractors told us they found the match, they were so rIdiculously not even close, we never wanted to see them again. But not with Jessi, with Build Up Remodeling, working tirelessly until he found the right match, although not exact due to the fading of the existing pavers...was so close we were good with his choice. Then his Team was just like him. They ensured us they were working for us, whatever we needed. Really good guys that genuinely cared. And they were phenomenal. Quality work!!! Project completed early!!! Showed up to work on time every day!!! And, cleaned up 100% perfectly spotless!!! Thank you Jessi and your Company!!! Finally bringing back crystal-clear credibility in the construction industry genuinely caring and protecting our investments and expenditure. YOU ARE EXCELLENT!!!!!!! read more
