They took pity on me and waived the 1kg and the butcher cut off about 800g for me off the whole loin. Perfect medium-rare as I ordered with a bit of crust. Absolutely delicious! The peppers are a nice complement. I got the red ones. They comped me a free appetizer of cheese with olive oil and balsamic vinegar which was equally delicious. I only made it a little over my half so I had them pack up my leftovers with the bread service for a sandwich the next day. Great service. Grill seems to be open for dinner service after 8:30p though I think they are willing to start earlier if you make a reservation and special request.

It's a clean little cafe with the kitchen in the middle. They have outdoor seating on the sidewalk, and in summer the front facade opens to bring the outdoors inside. I was greeted by a polite energetic server who guided me through the menu. The Nachos Braseados were delicious! Thick house made tortilla chips, covered in shredded cheese, fresh tomatoes, onion, cilantro, guacamole, anda couple of jalapeños if you like it spicy. The guacamole left something to be desired, (zesty, but pre-made and over-salted I think). Otherwise delicious nachos, with a yummy smokey undertone. The tacos Mexicanos are a plate full of ingredients that you assemble as you please. I love build your own food because I like variety and you can make each bite different. You get a tray of 5-6 small tortillas, a cup of lightly seasoned shredded barbacoa meat, a cup of Pico de gallo salsa, a cup of guacamole, and a dose of Chipotle sauce. The guy, Jose Maria was so helpful with the recommendation. I ordered chuleta de ternera (400gr) medium cooked and it was divine!!!, I almost regreted my decision to not order the premium galician beef, but maybe for another day. My friend ordered vegetable lasagna and it was also superb!!! I finished the dinner with the dessert pastel de dulce de tequila, oh my...I didn't even know that tequila could be use in dessert! Will definitely coming back to try another dishes. Oh I need to mention that the service staffs were very attentive. A must in barrio de Salamanca!
