We were thrilled to find In Style because they had a great selection of sturdy, well-built cabinets…read morethat we could match to the existing historic woodwork in our kitchen and the price was much more affordable than we expected. Designer Jessica Bostic showed us that, despite the constraints of multiple doors and a c. 1911 wall-sized built-in, we could have a much bigger island than we ever thought possible. This means that I can prepare meals while my 8 year-old plays toy soldiers at the end of the island, making it all much more pleasant. We also appreciated the cabinet layout which took into account a bulkhead we couldn't remove and other interesting challenges old houses sometimes offer. They also suggested places to find countertops (we unexpectedly chose Fantasy Brown marble, which was much more affordable than we thought.) Jessica also met me at a tile showroom in the Indianapolis area where I found the marble tile for the backsplash; my husband and I love the way it flows with the countertop. In an area where finding reliable construction crews can be tough, the construction crews overseen by Phil and affiliated with In Style were thorough, professional, prompt and very responsive whenever we had questions. This was a very positive construction experience and we really appreciate all the time that they spent on the project. We love our kitchen and are so grateful to In Style for helping us achieve the kitchen of our dreams.

The staff took time with us to understand our needs, give information about the different products & help us determine the best direction. We then spent an hour in the yard looking at slabs. No rush, no pressure. They translated our sketch into a drawing & we scheduled for measurements. They clearly communicated the quote, timeline & plan. Delivery/install day was bitter cold & snow yet they communicated, confirmed, and showed up on time & prepared! What a beautiful transformation & fun & exciting process! We had shopped a big box store & thought that a specialty supplier would be out of reach with our budget. Not the case at all! Pricing is extremely fair and service was absolutely outstanding! Over week later they installed the new quartz but the counter measurements were off. I complained. They came back to fix the problem and shifted the counter to wall so there wouldn't be a huge gap between the counter and the wall but then the farmhouse sink and faucet hole were off centered from my window. There was also a one inch gap between the stove and the counter. I complained in the store to the owner and he was not very nice., I tried to show pictures of the mistakes and that's when he told me they were absolutely not recutting the counter and I could sue him. I told him if they can't fix it, they could come remove it and give me a refund and he said ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! He then agreed to send someone back out to see if they could fix the problem. The next day a really nice older gentleman came and spent over 2 hours trying to align the sink, faucet hole and the 1 inch gap between my countertop and the stove. It looked better then how the first guys left it. The counter is still off. The right side of the stove the counter sticks out 1 inch further than the left side of the stove counter. I plan on tiling the backsplash but on one wall the gap is so big that I'm going have to use backer board before I can tile. I was told that they are not recutting a new countertop. The owner said it's common to have huge gaps between the wall and the counter and so was using backer board to correct it. I printed pictures again of all the irregular measurements and huge gaps that I could literally stick my fingers down behind the quartz and the wall and he could care less. I paid $6000 for countertops and I am highly disappointed with the installation and the end results. The last thing the owner said to me was "NEVER COME IN THIS STORE AGAIN" It's sad that they had to come to my house 6 times and my counters are not perfect or even close to being perfect. Now I'm left trying to figure out how to work with what I got which is definitely not what I paid for. I was trying to support a local business but in the end I used a company that doesn't back their workmanship. Very sad and disappointing to say the least.
