On a long drive in the middle of nowhere, we stumbled upon this place. My family and I had left the city we were staying in and were in route to Guadalajara to catch our flight back to the US. We were originally planning on waiting until we got to Guadalajara to eat but some of us were starting to get hangry (me being one of them).
We saw a banner outside that read buffet $50 pesos a person which is like $3. What caught our attention even more was that they offered that darn addicting café de la olla. We entered. It was a small family restaurant with about 10 tables and one steam table full Mexican goodness. On the side was a lady slapping freshly made tortillas on the comal and offering it to any human willing to devour them. The food tasted fresh and the place was clean enough. Service lacked a bit but wasn't bad. Not the best place, but not the worst either. read more
