*Note: my visit was before the C-19 restrictions. I had this in drafts, and forgot about it.* Being originally from Columbus, OH I guess been to the original restaurant long ago in the late 90's. Due to the closeness of the station, our private ambulance/EMS crews ate there a lot. They even gave us 50% off on duty, and 25% off other times. The family liked it too. I do recall some of the patrons calling it "Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck". I'll explain that at the end. But, times change; I now live in Midlothian, VA retired from EMS after 31 years. We haven't been to a BWW in years, so we used a gift card that was left over from Christmas. Though the decor was "sterile" looking, the restaurant was rather dirty. Especially for a weekend meal, with the restrooms needing a bit of attention. Both my wife's and I had very over cooked/dry wings. With the patronage load being quite low the server was slow and had enough facial piercings to set off metal detectors clear out at Richmond International- but he was quite pleasant and articulate. I'm sorry y'all, but our visit was not impressive. I don't know what has transpired in the last few years, but the food and surroundings need some spiffing up to say the least. Oh, the "Weck" that I mentioned above. I was told back in my Columbus Paramedic days that it was a beef sandwich with the bun soaked with au jus. I had one of these later in NY state. Our Paranormal Investigation team was doing a haunted dry docked US Navy ship, and the restaurant we ate at served them. After trying it, all I can say is "You need this BACK on your menu, BWW!". Worst service ever. We arrived and waited 5 mins before anyone even came to the front to sit us down. Multiple employees looked at us, but did not move to seat us. Once the hostess led us to the table, they had us stand and wait some more before they cleaned the table. Keep in mind that it was not busy at this time. Our waiter arrived after several minutes and took our beverages. Shortly after they took our order. We ordered 2 burgers, side of fries and some wings as an appetizer. 40 minutes later our food finally arrived, after other tables that were seated after us. However, the wings didn't arrive. The waiter forgot, but failed to admit this mistake and played it off as a kitchen issue. 20 minutes later, the wings finally arrived. Also, the burgers tasted great, but the fries were cold on arrival. This establishment needs to review the presence of management because as I see it, this is place is poorly run. Very disappointed. I have been going to this particular BDUBS for many years, about 15 years to be exact.. food is good , Im a big fan of wings and there are very convenient to my work. When I come with people some food comes out in about 20 minutes , other are at least 10 minutes later. I have had some issues with orders. dont order anything special for the classic chicken sandwich. I had requested dry buffalo on my sandwich and it took them cooking it 3 times before they got it right. Refills on drinks can be a little daunting. . the wait staff is great. DONT GO IN THE BATHROOM. THEY ARE HORRID. I have never seen a bathroom so bad. Like I said wait staff is great . I came here with my sister and brother in law, it started out great. We were ordering bottomless appetizers and we were supposed to get a free order of wings from a previous visit. We communicated this in the beginning of our visit. When it was time to pay, apparently the app was down and it wasn't going through for the free wings. This happened after we asked about the bottomless apps for $9.99, which they charged us full price for (we wouldn't have gotten the second order of fried pickles had we known this). Long story short, they acted like they couldn't do anything for us and we ended up just paying full price for everything. We did a carry out order so you don't know how the wings would taste like until you get home. Not sure about the negative experience so many others posted about. My experience was dope. My server was James. Extremely welcoming, professional, attentive, and just overall personable, really. Perfect recommendations that not only made me chuck my own intended order out the window, but also left me with absolutely no regrets whatsoever. Glad I took his advice. My drink came fast and poured just right, and then, not only was I blessed with a complementary order which completely took me by surprise, but my order came just moments after. He constantly expressed his pride and gratitude for the military community, and reminded me why I luv serving my Midlo community and Country. All because of awesome individuals like James. I made it a point to tip at least half my bill, but I'm second guessing going back soon just to tip him even more because it truly was just great service, great food, a great drink, and just a whole VIBE. I literally have nothing negative to say about my visit to this location. Definitely raised my level of expectations for the B Dubs over near VTech. If anything, I know this Midlothian location is surrounded by three high schools and folks a bit well off in life. I wasn't expecting fine dining service, time hacks, etc... especially on a Sunday night with a storm outside. I was just shocked to get exceptional service anyway. This is my to go place when I don't feel like driving 30 minutes to wingstop. I always get my order to go because wings are one of those things I don't like to eat in public (I clean the bone lol) and I don't need strangers judging me. I've had three experiences with this BW3's location and it wasn't until my most visit that I noticed things get notably worse with each experience. 1 - was a random early afternoon on a random (non-holiday) summer day. I remember placing a takeaway order to be picked up at a later time and had to wait 20 or so minutes when it came time to pick up my order. 2 - was an app-based mobile-delivery order (Grub Hub, Door Dash, I forget.) The order was placed in advanced to be delivered around Noon on a Saturday when I would be in half-day class that gives us 45-60 minutes for lunch each weekend (placing the order in advance to support proper delivery and timing). I used a promo coupon and an additional offer from my credit card to save some money. We later got notified our order was cancelled. I tried to place it again but lost the promo's I had used. Later I got notified through the app that the driver had arrived but the restaurant could not find our order. Eventually it got sorted out but missed our lunch window by over an hour. So, we had chicken wings and tots as an early dinner with no lunch that day. 3 - was my most recent and destined to be my last visit to BW3's as it was a complete and total disaster (not just for me but every poor soul in the vicinity). I waited for about an hour with another dozen customers, all of which who placed their orders hours in advance yet no one's was ready. Over 20-30 minutes there was a larger crowd as people who had waited their initial hour were all returning for incomplete or errors in their orders. The operations were in disarray and to add insult to injury, people who called in an order to pick up in real-time were being served in front of (in place of) people who had ordered their food several hours ago. My heart goes out to several of the staff who fielded increasingly displeased and impatient guests and the manager, a young brunette woman, who deserves a Gold star for her patience and her ability to help during an operational failure and customer service apocalypse. The manager did all she could to try to help but despite how helpful anyone could be there was multiple employees complaining to the customers, making excuses, and straight off placing blame on customers who had waited for an hour and a half to pick up their food. One lady identified herself as the general manager and was arguably the most offensive, at least professional person the disrespected and unserviced group of us had to encounter. The rest of the staff were part of the trouble. With a crowded room a young girl brought orders out to a shelf to place them and leave, while the crowd stood and waited until they could get the attention of one of the people working the registers to go over to look and call out the name on the bag. One young girl with died hair was entirely unfit to work a service position. She was too young in maturity but also clearly untrained in customer service, often yelling at customers, placing the blame "on" the customers, and then being able to be heard vocally complaining about all of us from back in the kitchen where we could hear her fine (this also fans the flames of a very bad situation, spreads negativity, and turns more BW3's staff in turn against the customers). MOST IMPORTANT - I would give 0 stars if possible only due to the sheer number of times the young girl with died hair and/or the lady who identified herself as the General Manager told customers (who had already paid and been waiting for an hour for the orders) to leave. On multiple occasions a person who had already paid and had been waiting was angrily told to leave by more than one staff. Total fail in operations, service, culture, atmosphere, mobile-ordering, takeaway service, and for packing a room full of people tightly together for a prolonger period of time during COVID. read more

I would leave 0 stars, except then I can't share my experience. Do not waste your time or money with this place. The entire staff is lazy and doesn't care about the customer. I don't know why I continued to order takeout, as every time the order was wrong. 2 weeks ago I ordered takeout because my nephews were visiting and they wanted BW3s. The order came wrong. We had requested no blue cheese on the salad, by using their own capability on the ordering portal and making a selection of "no blue cheese." The salad came with extra blue cheese. Also we were missing an entire order of wings. When I tried to contact the restaurant, I couldn't get anyone. I called 3 times and every time they put me on hold until the hold system automatically hung up on me. The last time I called the person answering the phone asked why I needed a manager and proceeded to give me excuses about how he had 3 people all come in at once when I called last so that's why he never got back to me. I just requested a manager. Finally, my husband made the 4th call and told them they could not put him on hold and to get a manager. The manager (Jada) proceeded to laugh at the situation and was extremely rude. She then said we would get a refund. It never came through. I have tried to contact corporate 3 times and I tried using Twitter. Obviously Buffalo Wild Wings does not care about their customers or their reputation. We will never frequent their restaurants again and will continue to tell others to take their business elsewhere. read more

i should have read these reviews before going there. just went to lunch at 11:15 am - there were maybe 5 total tables including us. It took over 40 minutes AFTER ordering to get 2 salads and a small (6) wings. We were there with a toddler, so we couldn't stay all day and asked for the food to go. When we got home, the wings were tiny, shriveled, way overcooked and inedible. Tried calling a manager, but they were "too busy" to take my call. Went on Sunday fully aware that it was football season. We were seated in the additional seating off of the main dining area. Ordered drinks, nachos (my all time favorite dish at BW3), and our son's corndog nuggets. Waited 20 minutes for the food to come and only after I asked about the kids meal did it appear. Didn't mention the nachos but thought they would surely be out shortly. Our waitress came back and said her manager was putting a rush on them. They came out a total mess. Only queso and a small blob of chili. They got set on the table and I said "nope! Those aren't how they normally look! Take them off the bill." The waitress tried to tell me that since we ordered without jalapenos that was how they came. Nope- not buying it. They also didn't have crema, cilantro, or pico. When she came back to bring my husband his beer she brought the nachos up again and kept making excuses and assuring me that was how they were supposed to be served. I just looked at her and said "look. I used to wait tables too. I get it, you guys are busy. I'm not arguing over a $12 plate of nachos." She left and when she came back several minutes later I told her if the food wasnt at our table in 10 minutes we were leaving. At this point, another employee came out and opened up the bay doors. In general I like Buffalo Wild Wings. The food has always been good, clean place, and lots of TV's to stay entertained (if you don't feel like interacting in a conversation). Spicy actually means spicy here (huge plus). The only two cons I can think of are that the prices tend to be on the more expensive side and the service tends to be slower than liked. However, one could argue the prices are because of the quality of foods and service times due to the large crowds they typically serve. Not a place I go to often, but I certainly don't shy away from Buffalo Wild Wings when there's a reason to go! Promos deals: Tuesday 75¢ traditional wings. I get it, it's Bdubs and no one expects anything incredible - however - our service was so bad I'm surprised they're even still open. A group of 10 of us came in on Super Bowl sunday around 3ish. We told them we'd be leaving prior to the game, thinking they'd be busy since it's...you know...a SPORTS bar. We were essentially never checked on although the place was deserted, and our waitress was chatting 10 feet from us at the end of the bar. Im not one to do a bad review bc life happens and people have off days and I get it, but this was awful. Why tell me it's going to take over an hour for my food to be prepared, but when I arrived to pick up my order it had been done in 19 minutes... which means it sat there on the rack for 45 minutes when I got there at the time I was told it would be ready. On top of that I ordered a side salad that was room temperature warm as well as lemon pepper dry rub that was just naked wings bc all of the seasoning ended up all over the bottom of the bag.
