The restaurant is quintessentially French, in the best way. My gosh- there's never been a prettier salad. Hubby had steak son had the fish and ALL had the foie gras. Wine/champagne list is extensive and incredibly diverse, and reasonably priced. And the most adorable dogs live there- but they go to sleep early. At from the one time I had it in Morocco. So we hoped it would be on par to that. It was close. There were a few problems. We did order delicious Moroccan wine! (YAY!) I wanted the pigeon pastilla instead of the chicken one on the starters, so we ordered the full sized one and split it. It was nice, but not as good. As it turns out, most of the meat was in my partner's half, and mine was full of spice. Once he gave me some of his meat, it was definitely better. We split a lamb couscous dish and a chicken tureen. Both were really tasty, but be warned, they are massive. Like super massive. Like we probably ordered enough food for four people. But it was really delicious. So we were stuffed. No dessert for us, but the Moroccan pastries they had for dessert looked really amazing.

I asked for home fried potatoes and a green salad as a side. The veal was very disappointing. Tough and fatty. The sauce lacked any taste. The home fried potatoes were really French fries in cubes, not pan fried potatoes. The green salad was the best part of the meal. Maybe I chose the wrong item, my neighbors had lamb and a steak and they said it was delicious.

After attempting to ask what the staff would recommend for a local wine, a best guess was made with the waiter's minimal English. I think I selected a regional wine, "Saint Jean". It was a nice wine. Using the English version of the food menu, Leg of Lamb was selected. It was a great choice! The portions were good and the flavor was great! Didn't care for the fries (didn't know they came with the meal), but they were crispy and fresh. The lamb was wonderful! I would have it again. I was very satisfied with the evening. There was hardly any flavor to it at all. And that was unfortunate. We saw the pizza chef lovingly do the dough and toppings for the pizza, but there was hardly any flavor to anything. Snails were boring. Onions had no flavor. I don't know how this is even possible. This place was a huge disappointment. I can't imagine anything else on the menu would be much better either.
