After looking around Chateau-Thierry for a place for dinner, and finding the look of the French…read morerestaurants less-than-appealing, we opted to go for Moroccan food. I do love Moroccan food. At from the one time I had it in Morocco. So we hoped it would be on par to that.
It was close. There were a few problems. We did order delicious Moroccan wine! (YAY!) I wanted the pigeon pastilla instead of the chicken one on the starters, so we ordered the full sized one and split it. It was nice, but not as good. As it turns out, most of the meat was in my partner's half, and mine was full of spice. Once he gave me some of his meat, it was definitely better.
We split a lamb couscous dish and a chicken tureen. Both were really tasty, but be warned, they are massive. Like super massive. Like we probably ordered enough food for four people. But it was really delicious.
So we were stuffed. No dessert for us, but the Moroccan pastries they had for dessert looked really amazing.
