I asked for home fried potatoes and a green salad as a side. The veal was very disappointing. Tough and fatty. The sauce lacked any taste. The home fried potatoes were really French fries in cubes, not pan fried potatoes. The green salad was the best part of the meal. Maybe I chose the wrong item, my neighbors had lamb and a steak and they said it was delicious.

After attempting to ask what the staff would recommend for a local wine, a best guess was made with the waiter's minimal English. I think I selected a regional wine, "Saint Jean". It was a nice wine. Using the English version of the food menu, Leg of Lamb was selected. It was a great choice! The portions were good and the flavor was great! Didn't care for the fries (didn't know they came with the meal), but they were crispy and fresh. The lamb was wonderful! I would have it again. I was very satisfied with the evening. If I can return, I'll have to visit Le St Jean Restaurant for another great meal.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

We made a reservation a few hours before, and were accommodated for lunch on a Thursday with our large party without any issues. We were sat against the wall with the fold down movie theater seats but be careful - when I stood up I ended up pulling my seat off and was no longer able to use the chair! Most of the diners in my party shared different burgers (which they all enjoyed and seemed to be enough to share). I selected the Le Wok de Canard which was a duck stir fry. It was very delicious and the meat was quite tender. It was served on a bed of thinly slides vegetables like carrots and zucchini. For being located in a smaller city (not Paris) I would have expected the servers to be a little more friendly but they were friendly enough for it not to impact our experience. I would recommend Les Cornichons but allow for more time to enjoy the decor and atmosphere.
