This gas station is horrible. The squeegees look like they're 15 years old.. it's hard to get in and out of there's barely any room. When passing through town and getting gas, on occasion, we have run our car through the car wash. It is very quick and requires little drying by hand afterwards. When we have trouble with the payment machine, there is an attendant to quickly come and assist us. We recommend this car wash. read more

Ive been getting gas at the Shell station every morning for at least 15 years. I spend approximately $60 a day there in fuel, coffee, etc. That's approximately $15,000 a year. The other day I accidentally forgot to pump my gas, pulled out of the driveway, pulled right back in and approached the attendant, and he told me not to worry that my purchase has been canceled. I then purchased another $60 of gas and drove off to work. I then received a notification on my email that it had not been canceled and somebody else had gotten the gas for free. Both purchases were literally within under three minutes of each other and I literally watched the guy pump what should've been my fuel but took the attendants word for it.After approaching the manager he explained to me that he would not be reimbursing my gas.He basically accuse me of being dishonest and told me because I pulled away from the pump he cannot help me. never addressing what his attendant had already said.Definitely not somewhere that you want to patron to and be a loyal customer. Miguel is a bad manager. That is an extremely poor business decision considering you just lost $15,000 + a year over a $50 transaction. Gas across the street is cheaper and has better coffee anyway with less of a line. read more

This buellton she'll stop has by far the best gas prices when heading south, the ladies that work inside the gas station have always been courteous and so their job. Definitely stop here to pump gas and usually they have really clean restrooms for a gas station. Always have had a good experience for a gas station. read more

I have more than my share of bad experiences at this gas station. I commute to work, so spend LOTS of money at this gas station. In June I purchased a monthly pass for the new car wash. After one month I decided I didn't use it enough, so opted not to buy another one. When I opened my credit card statement today I found another 29.99 charge July 4th and another August 2nd. I am now being told I have to Cancel the service, they charge my card automatically. What really ticks me off is that I have been buying car washes at the pump all the while they were charging me for a monthly pass. I have been told there is no refund in my future. This is really a poor way to do business. What a rip off! read more

I always appreciate honest reviews from others. I can only speak for myself, but it's the best carwash in the Lompoc/Buellton/Orcutt area, and we've never had any problems with it. The gas prices are usually at or near the lowest in the area. The restrooms are clean AND they serve Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf coffee in their store! Really good gas station coffee! The Buellton Shell station is clean, fast (usually no waiting for an open pump), and has friendly service inside. As a gear-head I only trust Chevron or Shell fuels for my truck, bikes, and jet-ski regardless of price. The restrooms were cleaner than you find most places, the attendant at the carwash was l helpful and polite, and the lady behind the counter inside was very friendly and helpful. The prices were better by nearly a buck than what we have to pay near our home. The Kaleidoscope colors in the car wash are worth the experience, though I can't say it got the car all that clean. This used to be an okay drive thru car wash. But now the quality has gone downhill. The attendant isn't allowed enough time to spot clean the vehicle before going through the automated car wash. So there are now more places to be spot cleaned. Vehicles go through washing way to quickly...quicker than before. And dryer at end is also quicker leaving much of vehicle wet. Worse yet price has gone up. Those who work there seem nice but their English is poor so difficult to communicate. Bathrooms are clean and good selection of items in store. Usually buy my fuel elsewhere to support other local businesses. read more

This has been my go to fuel stop for years now. Although we found the manager a bit of a pain the employees are great and the prices have been the best in the area for a long time. But, I have noticed that the price I am paying at the pump is not the price on their big sign for some time. When I asked about it today I was told those prices are not for customers using credit cards. If you look at the Chevron station on the other side of the freeway you will notice that they post both a cash price and a credit card price. But not at Shell, they want you to think you are getting a better deal so they post the credit card price on a small board outside the car wash. My calculations are that I spent about $3,120.00 at that station on fuel alone this year so far. In these days of ever increasing costs I will be moving on. read more

The Shell station sucks, don't buy a car wash if you're not going to use it in 14 days because it won't work and they will not refund it, they are very rude and racist!! will not ever ever go back to that friggin station. Over a $10 car Wash, just because I was two days over the 14 day date, that they don't highlight!!! This is how they treat people on disability. Typically, the cheapest gas in Santa Barbara County. Why? I have no idea but the Shell station is typically the least expensive gas if you are dependent on using a gas credit card to charge your gas. If you have cash, then drive toward Solvang by the Albertson's and to to Tom's Gas. Additionally, they also have a carwash that was recently refurbished with new brushes. read more

Instead of apologizing to customers and providing compensation to people she screwed , she demanded me to pay her second time claiming that my first time didn't go though. Last night I had to stop here to get milk for my daughter on our way home from Pismo Beach. Unfortunately I didn't think to check the expiration date until after my 2 year old drank her entire bottle. I went to drink the milk to find it was sour. Upon looking at the expiration date I found it had expired on July 26th. Be careful with what you buy here and make sure to look at expiration dates because apparently they don't care to check them. read more

Didn't get his name but the younger guy working in the afternoons is very rude. Been going to this gas station for years and had an incedent where my rear wiper blade came off in the car wash. The male employee showed no compassion and treated me like it was my fault. Then when someone that was purchasing a car wash asked me what happend and I answered her he threatend to make me leave. Horrible customer service! There was a malfunction with one of the pumps and I was charged 60 bucks for no gas. I spoke to two clerks and both were no help. I agree with Bill H. This Shell station sucks. Wouldn't take my Shell card at the pump so had to go inside. Charged 15 gallons to the card, then went outside and the pump wouldn't work. Tried to ask for help but the lady pretended not to speak English. Asked for the phone number of the regional headquarters and was given the number of the station. Called and got the same attendant, who then gave me another number to another person who didn't speak English. This is unacceptable customer service. They said my card would be credited but we'll see. It will probably take another hour of unacceptable customer service to get the credit for the 15 gallons. I left and went elsewhere.
