Beginning of tour on the way to Clydesdales

There is nothing second rate about this experience. Two tour guides lead a group through the beautifully manicured grounds covering approximately seven city blocks on the tour. From the Clydesdales all the way through the bottling plant you see every step and can learn about history up to current methods. There are even multiple samples, age limit met of course, ali g the way!

What a wonderful day. Lived her for 25 years and never went on the tour. Always sent out of state guests because it is so St Louis. We are cardinals season ticket holders and one of the highlights each year is the Clydesdales march around the stadium on opening day. We had important guest coming that was a new adventure. A Brother whom I had not seen in over 35 Years. The Brewery tour seemed like a neutral event to get to know each other ad spend the day with our wives. I could not have been more perfect. The "Fresh" beer and the Clydesdales were the perfect combination. We had a Wonderful day.

Many time slots available for tours. The tour was amazing! The guide was knowledgeable & courteous. The food on site was delicious! The toasted ravioli was a highlight. The gift shop was stocked with many different souvenirs. There are free lockers available on site to store your purchases while on tour.

We did the Clydesdales tour. Our tour guide was great and gave us interesting information that I was not aware of regarding the horses and the company. Beer straight from the source is also a great quality while on the tour and in their beer garden.

This is a well deserved top 10 attraction in St. Louis, MO. that needs to be experienced. Book the 90 minute tour which was sufficient and included a visit to the original Clydesdale horse stable. Also, received a visit by their Dalmatian buddies (see pics) Enjoyed learning about all the Budweiser history while observing the entire brewski process. And, was surprised to have two (2) tastings at different locations. Be prepared for some walking (1/2 mile) however, it was finalized by a tour bus ride back to the starting point. At departure, our group was surprisingly treated to one (1) take-home bottle of day fresh beer. Definetly take this trip/tour and have this bud (experience) for you.......

Arrived and parked in the Budweiser parking lot which was gated and had security. Tour started promptly with a group of about 20. It start off walking to the stables to see the clydesdale's horses and their dalmatian dog. Such a beautiful stable they also have three of the Budweiser wagons that the horses pull inside. Next stop was the brewing section. You don't really see anyone working just the containers filled with beer. The building is beautiful inside. Finally we walked over to the bottling plant. Saw bottles on belt but no people working. They handed out a beer bottle to each person that was made in the past 24 hours. The tour ends outside where you pick your choice of a full glass of beer. I had the mango beer it was amazing. We hung out a little in the garden area. We purchased pretzel bites and a few beers.

I've done this same tour three times since the mid 90's. It's been pretty much the same and unchanged since at least 2015. No issues with nearby parking that's safe. No charge for parking. I cannot recall the ticket prices, I believe around $30. They have a few different types and different times. I've always done the larger one. Your tour takes you in different aspect of the operation. Our main guide was very good! The trainer not as polished as learning, There are so many reviews I honestly doubt I can add anything new that we saw. I toured three buildings. First the stables, then the very old brew house which is super ornate inside. Then packaging. They provided a complimentary can of beer brewed that day. Budweiser has great history and even if not a beer drinker it's certainly is interesting. If you are a beer drinker they do provide a sample and a large pour at the end with a few options. I would recommend,

I've toured a few of the world's iconic macro breweries - Guinness in Dublin, Carlsberg in Copenhagen, Sam Adams in Boston and Yuengling in Pottsville. But the Budweiser experience holds its own and perhaps even surpasses them. Our tour started on time, a group of about 45 people. We were led by Maggie and Bob who did a great job of tag teaming the spots and history along the way. The tour lasted over ninety minutes and included everything you could imagine at the Budweiser brewery here in Saint Louis. We saw the Clydesdales in their fabulous stable, including one massive specimen fittingly named Bruce. We spotted Annie and Mike, the dalmatians. We stood beside the massive beechwood aging tanks, each holding 3,600 barrels, and walked through the mash room, saw the brew kettle, and even the copper grant where the brewmaster inspects the wort. On the bottling floor, we watched in awe as 1,300 bottles per minute zipped through the machinery, lining up neatly into cases. Naturally, there was beer on the tour and a "Day Fresh" bottle to take with us and then a beer of our choice at the end. Was it three pours along the tour? Maybe four? Hard to say. Time and taste both blurred in the best way and thankfully, I'm not driving! Exploring the largest beer producer in North America, browsing the gift shop, and relaxing in the biergarten made for a fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Truly a standout experience. I do want to point out that the tour is handicapped friendly. One of our group is vision-impaired and had her guide dog. No problem. At all! And while there are some stairs and a bit of walking, they have elevators where needed, [Review 1084 of 2025 - 430 in Missouri - 24638 overall]

If you love beers, you will love the Budweiser Brewery! So much history! This place is huge! There is no admission fee to enter but you will have to pay for any of the tours they offer. It was fun exploring their Welcome Center and gift shop. We did not do a tour as it was late in the day so we decided to have a quick snack and beer in their small restaurant area. I wish I knew that if you walk outside onto their patio, beers were free! The food was just OK but the real highlight was the gift shop area and the Welcome Center areas with the various Budweiser exhibits. There is nothing more iconic than the Budweiser Clydesdales on this 100 acre historic brewery dating back to 1885. Budweiser..The King of Beers.

The brewery is one of and perhaps the oldest and largest in the world. It has existed since before the Civil War and resorted to making water to stay open during Prohibition. The brewery tours are so amazing. Even if you are not into beer you should definitely check this out if in Saint Louis.

We were in town and figured what the heck might as well do it. Our guide was great and knew his history of the company and property. Well done in every way, we'll be back to do the more detailed tour in the future. If in the area and need a break this is a good thing to do. Oh the free beer was good too.

This location is the North American headquarters. Brick buildings. Free parking. Military discounted rates available. There are many different tours available pending on your interest and times. We signed up for Day Fresh Tour which lasted for 1.5 hours. Highly recommend signing up and answering questions online in advance prior to 15 minutes check in. This will help expedite check in process. My husband and I learned so much and had tons of fun thanks to our Tour guides, Amy and Jason. Be prepared to walk seven city blocks and a few flights of stairs. Light lager, Bud Light was created for hot summers that occurred in MO. Which two products survived in business during prohibition? Malt and yeast survived the prohibition. Prohibition ended 1930. 1300 bottles filled per minute. Three types of beer offered on Day Fresh Tour. Day Fresh Tour includes 1 beer bottle and two on tap pending on what's available. Bud Light and Mango Cart offered a refreshing, clean, crisp taste. Definitely well worth our money and time. Now, I prefer tap fresh from the brewery. Highly recommend visiting for the day!

Had been on a tour years ago at this brewery. I can say Budweiser keeps up a great tour. Really enjoyed seeing the process of brewing and the history of the buildings. Our guide was very informative. Definitely worth a stop whether you're a beer enthusiast or want to experience some of the beautiful old buildings, their architecture and symbolism.

Budweiser Brewery Experience Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Budweiser Brewery Experience

Are the visits/tours no longer free?

No free tours. 3 tour options to choose from. You can visit the location and go to the Biergarten/gift shop though

Do you allow backpacks on the Beermaster tour? Also, what about a cello (musical instrument) that is carried like a backpack (dual strap, vertically)?

Unfortunately we do not allow backpacks, or any larger purses, on tours. We do have some lockers for valuables on site, but I doubt that something the size of a cello would fit in them.

Which is better, the Beer Master Tour or the Beer Museum Tour? We want to learn history of the place and see stables.

The Beermaster Tour definitely skews more to the beer side of our business. If you would like to learn more about the brewery's history and architecture then the Beer Museum Tour would be the better option. Cheers!

How often do the tours run?

It depends on the day you come in. On busy weekends we might run the complimentary tour every 10 minutes while during the week they might be more like every 30 minutes.

Are your tours really wheelchair/scooter friendly?

Yes we are able to accommodate both. Any of the various tour stops that require guests to go up stairs or escalators also have an elevator. The only limitation with scooters is that they are too heavy to load onto our trolley's wheelchair lift, so… Read more

Drive into the campus and follow the Tour signs which take you to the Visitor Center with plenty of free parking in the lot. Walking inside is a gift shop and large lobby area where you can buy tickets or check in before your tour starts if you bought them online. Our tour guide was Larry and my group of about 14 people wandered in and out of several buildings on the campus while Larry provided a lot of interesting and historical information about Anheuser-Busch and St. Louis. We went into cold rooms where the different beers are kept in very large metal tanks along with warm rooms where the cooking process takes place. We also went to a viewing area above the bottling operation which was fascinating to watch the assembly of bottles being washed, inspected, filled, labeled and then packaged. They only brew beer when they have an order from the wholesaler ensuring freshness at its highest level. The architecture of several of the older building is quite interesting. We also stopped in the stable area where The Clydesdale's are kept seeing several of them in their stalls and one out on display. We sampled beer twice during the tour. One time in the middle of the tour and again at the end. They also gave each adult a bottle of beer to take away with them. Also at the end is a large tent area that serves food and beer and allows for relaxation. I enjoyed the tour and thought it was well worth the cost.
