I would never recommend or use Budget Dumpster ever again. Budget Dumpster charges by weight (for overage), not capacity/space. I rented a 20 yard dumpster that was only half filled with shingles and received a $170 overage charge 3 weeks later out of the blue. Of course they would charge overage for weight, because the customer would not be able to dispute it. The only way for a customer to not be cheated using weight, is if the customer weighs every item that they place in the dumpster and catalog/note it. Be Prepared to Be Overcharged I ordered a 3 ton dumpster to get rid of household debri from my basement and garage. There was nothing exceptionally heavy and a lot of the debri was old boxes. The dumpster was about 7/8 full. Just got a bill that I owed an extra $120. They said that my dumpster was 2.4 tons over the limit which is 80% more than what they allow. If you go to Trust Pilot or the BBB you will see a lot of reviews just like mine and the review you are going write if you ever use this outfit. I shall also add that before I got this over the weight limit charge, I had ordered another dumpster where I was charged, the delivery confirmed, my cleanout crew scheduled and the dumpster never showed up. They then let me know that it would be a minimum of 1 week before they could get another dumpster to the house. They did finally refund my money for the dumpster and I paid the crew just for showing up. Unfortunately, my experience was not over. They continued to send me notices that I was going to be charged late fee's for not scheduling a pickup on the dumpster they failed to deliver. It took 2 phone calls and 3 emails to prevent these charges. I hope my dealings with this outfit are over. I have never been charged for over weight, It had a 3 ton weight limit and I specifically asked if that was enough for general construction debris. I was told yes. I just received a bill for 3.5 tons over. This can was filled with wood and debris from an addition and was still 2 feet from the top. shitty billing practices. I thought they had picked it up and had I not received a call from the homeowner I would have never known. I asked how long they let a dumpster stay out past the pick-up time and was told they don't call. I then asked if they would let set a year? five years? 20 years? and was told yes, at a per-day cost. The next driver decided that he didn't want to replace the dumpster where he picked up the last one. This made the dumpster unusable in the position he left it. The company refused to put it back where the first dumpster that THEIR driver had placed was located. Because I couldn't use it in the location that they put the second dumpster I told them to take it away and refund my money. They call local dumpster companies in your area. I waited 3days for a dumpster finally they said the dumpster wasn't delivered because I left instruction to drop in the driveway but I didn't have a driveway (which is in between my house and a house that's set for demolishing) I ask the rep well if they saw that note then why did they not see the one that said call when in route. We found out that they never came then to top that off they weren't able to find a 40 yard container only a 30 I was told they would drop a 10 after the 30 to make up. That call took an hour now there's no notes of that and they won't honor that and they're telling me the 30 and 40 is a 30$ difference so they refunded the 30 back to my card. My roommates and I had rented from this dumpster company to move out of our college home. The price was 480$, which is higher than average but we understood due to it being moving out season. Move out date was August 2, and we had scheduled the dumpster to come on July 31. The dumpster company contacted us the day it was suppose to arrive and said it won't arrive til August 3, after where we are suppose to move. When we loaded our dumpster, it took them days to come pick it up. When they picked it up, they say it was overfilled and are charging us an additional 150$ for a stopping by fee. I have been trying to be in contact with them, but the supervisors seem to not know what they are doing. When asking them basic questions about fees and pickup they did not have a clear answer for us. Do not do business with them, unless you want them to make mistakes, not be punctual, or charge you additional fees. I've used Budget several times and have generally been satisfied. I don't even shop around any longer. They don't run their own boxes, but contract with existing companies around the country. In Cincinnati they use Best Way, which is fine. Their price is better than you can get going direct to Best Way, for some reason! Pick up and drop off are generally timely. They cracked the corner off of the driveway of a house I bought last year, but given the size of the dumpster I can hardly complain. I'll use them again I'm sure. read more
