Rey and I hired Jennifer with Budget Bridal to create several items for our wedding: Wedding cake, my bouquet, the toss bouquet and Rey's boutonniere. As our Special Day approached, we attempted numerous times to get in contact with Jennifer, so we could show Jennifer what decorations we had already made for the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen for Jennifer to complement. This was nearly impossible. Jennifer was very unprofessional and not prompted on any customer service skills. Jennifer had a random lady deliver my bouquet which was extremely late. My bouquet was horrific!! It brought tears to my eyes. The bouquet looked as if it was created for a grave site. Luckily, I had amazing Bridesmaids to take apart the bouquet and create a new one for me. Unfortunately, she did not include my toss bouquet. Rey's boutonniere was delivered late, as well, and was ALSO not what we discussed. Jennifer knew it was late because we specifically advised her what time and where it needed to be delivered. We had to delay our wedding ceremony because of her tardiness. And the worst thing was yet to come! We decided to order a decorative Wedding cake because Jennifer said she wanted to create a lot of detail on our cake. The cake was delivered late and we had no time to view it prior to the wedding ceremony. When the cake was delivered, the Bright Shawl's manager and staff were appalled by this creation. The manager pulled my mother aside immediately upon her arrival to show her the cake. My mom was speechless and nearly lost her mind. The cake looked as if a 3 year old had created the so called "peacock feathers", which by the way were placed upside down. Then there was this odd shaped bird on top of the cake, which looked like a dead Sea Lion. The colors on the cake did not match any of the beautiful décor we created. Luckily, Mary the Catering Manager of the Bright Shawl was able to save the day by transforming this so called peacock cake into a great looking wedding cake. Since we decided to go with a decorative cake she charged us for 2 full sheet cakes, which they only delivered 2 half sheet cakes. I would like to know what happened with the other two cakes. About half of our guests did not get any cake because of this. As Jennifer stated, she made the 4 cakes but did not deliver herself and her staff did. I would NEVER EVER recommend her services to any Bride or Groom because I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else on their special day. The wedding is finally over and I can say I was fairly pleased with Jennifer at Budget Bridal. She was hundreds less than everyone else in town and I didnt want to spend a fortune on linens and flowers. She was 15 minutes EARLY for set up which put me at ease because I was setting up with her the morning of my wedding. I gave her pictures of my centerpieces that I designed and mountains of petals I wanted on the table. Petals were fresh and the tables looked AMAZING!!! She custom made my napkins too. My only complaint is the bouqets were just OK. My bridal bouquet was PERFECT. she copied the picture exactly. she nailed it!!! my bridesmaid bouquets were just alright. But for the price she was well worth it. If you are a bride on a budget or just dont want to spend a fortune on flowers and linens give Jen a call. JUST DON"T DO IT FOR FLOWERS!!! My wedding was just this weekend, April 6, 2013. Linens were great, looked amazing. HOWEVER, my centerpeices (which Jennifer and I had a picture of and went over prior to the wedding) ended up at my reception with only THREE stems of flowers in them!!!! THREE people. I literally mean 1 TINY stem of baby's breath (which is one of the cheapest flowers around), 1 orange gerbera (also a cheap flower), and 1 green cat-tail thing I wanted. But they were nothing like what we had discussed and I have been trying to get a hold of her since yesterday, 04/08/13. Of course NO replies to the voicemails or text messages I've sent her. I even provided my own mason jars. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY FOR FLOWERS, PERIOD. The money you think you're saving is not worth the disappointment on your special day. First off, they're not in Schertz, they're in San Antonio. They supply cakes, flowers and linens. The quality of the flowers, cake and linens were great. They hit traffic on the way to our wedding in Austin (understandable) and were putting up flowers while the church was half full of guests (please account for the unknown and leave earlier!). Correspondence sent to them requested a fake flower for a grandmother that was allergic to flowers, but none was brought so the grandmother went without. Two table linens were not brought to reception hall and venue manager had to pull some out of a closet to cover them. End product was good, but the communication beforehand and right up until the wedding was poor, very very poor. This was the one big stress of our day. read more

This review is from 5/9/2014 but Jennifer likes to hide and delete bad reviews. She even deleted (or blocked me) from her company's Facebook page so that people couldn't see the terrible reviews I was posting along with the pictures for how my cakes turned out. DO NOT GO WITH BUDGET BRIDAL!!!!! RUN!!!!! GET A DIFFERENT VENDOR!!!!! The only reason I am okay with one star is because the cake was there when we walked in, which is something most brides were saying is not a common thing for Jennifer and that she shows up late. Otherwise, she would get ZERO stars if I could. Here is my experience: I am sad to say that I should not have given Jennifer the benefit of the doubt (based on many terrible reviews) and should have gone elsewhere for our wedding cake. It may look okay in pictures but was a disaster up close. I will be zooming in on these and posting them in all my reviews. The little box cakes were hideous. Not only did the fondant not reach the bottom for all of them, the ribbons weren't even and they were very lopsided. To put it simply, they looked rushed. And you could really tell. The groom's cake barely looks like a baseball field. Why is it black?! AND (MY HUSBAND WAS FURIOUS!!!!) I specifically told Jennifer, the field was going to have two team logos on it. My husband's softball team's logo (which I sent a detailed picture of), and the New York Yankees logo (My husband's favorite baseball team). What does she do? She put a New York GIANTS logo on a baseball cake. My husband was so mad he ripped it off. I couldn't even tell you how his softball team's logo turned out (if it was there at all) because I was so mad when I looked at the cakes that I didn't even care to look at that point. Throughout our engagement, Jennifer was near impossible to get a hold of and didn't return texts, emails or phone calls unless you were UP HER ASS. I called, emailed and texted her so she couldn't say she never got my voicemail or email (which she had done before) and then would have to call the next day and even the next before I got an answer. I wasn't even sure if an appointment made with her was going to happen at one point because she wasn't answering her phone the day of. I had a terrible experience with Budget Bridal and should have listened to the reviews. Spend your money on a better vendor who will be available for you, give you what you imagined for your cake, be professional, won't make excuses and who has good reviews. I wish I could leave NO stars! Very disappointed in sa budget bridal. She was not easy contact at all. I would email, call, text, leave vm, Facebook, anything I could think of& she still wouldn't call back until super last minute. She arrived at my wedding 30 minutes before it was too start! She came alone so my bridal party had to work on decorating the chairs, tables,etc. She sat on the floor making bouquets! I was too have a backdrop with a purple runner with our name in it, all we got was a wrinkled white sheet ....my pix look horrible with that background! I just got my pictures back yesterday from my photographer and just cried when seeing how ugly it was! My hubby knew I was upset when coming down the aisle after seeing it! I would not recommend ANY BRIDE to ever use this business as they are terrible and you never know what you are going to get....and she's super late to your wedding that you won't have any time to make changes! And I don't know what to do to get a refund for that backdrop since she wouldn't answer my phone calls then, I'm sure she won't answer now....she well want to RUN from me if I ever see her again. I emailed Jennifer a week and a half ago and after a few days without any word I called her on the phone number listed at www.sabudgetbridal.com. That was a week ago and I still have not heard from her. Granted, I only emailed and called once EACH, I feel that is more than enough to get a response from a vendor that should be used to dealing with brides and the immense amount of stress they are under. Even if she called me now and offered to provide the flowers and her services for free I would not accept because she has proven to me that she is unreliable and does not care about the reputation of her business. I just left her ANOTHER voicemail informing her of this review and that I would not under any circumstances be using her as my florist. That makes two calls that she did not answer but let go to voicemail. This is sad because my fiancé and I are on a tight budget and we liked that she is a local business. If communication is not a concern for you, then disregard this review, but if you're like me and think vendors should respond to your emails AND calls then I don't advise using Budget Bridal. - As I was writing this Jennifer FINALLY called me back, note after I left the second voicemail, and tried to tell me that she never received either the call or the email. We used Budget Bridal for our small wedding last month. We had only 30 guests but wanted everything to look pretty. Budget Bridal came through! They delivered everything exactly as requested. Their prices were very reasonable as well. They provided the table linens, flowers and cake. The cake was absolutely delicious - two layers, one vanilla and one chocolate with ivory colored frosting and decorated with pink Gerbera daisies. The bouquets for me and my "Best Woman" were 2 shades of pink Gerbera daisies with white and pink roses mixed in. Beautiful! They even threw in some rose petals for the flower girl for free. I wanted some simple centerpieces and the ones they provided fit the bill. Glass bowls with floating Gerbera daisies looked wonderful. I can't thank them enough for making my big day as pretty as I hoped it would be! read more

Jennifer and Budget Bridal were recommended by my party planner for my daughter's fashion-themed sweet 16 party. Jennifer was to make cupcakes that looked like purses and high-heeled shoes. The product she delivered looked nothing like the photo I was shown initially, and in fact she claimed that there was "too much humidity" for the high-heel cupcakes so she only delivered the "purse" cupcakes - which looked AWFUL!!! They looked like Easter baskets made by a kindergartner. I prepaid for everything, and she never had to hound me for that. Upon NOT delivering half of what I had ordered and already paid for, she promised a refund. I have called. I have emailed. She does not respond. Thinking of taking her to small claims court for the several hundred dollars she owes me. Anyone who claims to be a baker should be able to account for humidity, and anyone who runs a business should take pride in their work, and should return calls, emails, and money as promised. Her baking products STINK and she is a crook. Unfortunately her business is dealing with people's special occasions, and for ours, I can honestly say that what we paid for wound up being 1/2 ugly and 1/2 not delivered, which made that part of our special event really disappointing - and she has no interest at all in trying to make it right. My first initial meeting with Jennifer was pleasant, until she never returned my calls. I met with her for a second time for a mach up when she finally returned my call. I was very unpleased with the set up she did for the Mach up(display of your possible centerpieces and floral arrangements before you purchase them) She did not display things we talked about and was still setting up the tables during our meeting. She is very unprofessional. She initially gave me a contract after our first meeting and when our second meeting came around she denied saying anything about the flowers that we had talked about? I decided not to go with Jennifer because she never returned my calls and that was a bad sign from the very beginning. Jennifer with budget bridal is extremely less then other places. She always got in touch with me when i needed to change something. She didn't arrive until after 10 which we have to wait to set up center pieces. Then I had asked for 250 chairs to be covered but only 225 got covered. She said the is what on the paper. On the paper there is no details about chairs covered only how many tables. So make sure you get all details listed. Also I was suppose to have 3 other tables covered different and that didn't happen. If you do plan on using her make sure you get everything down in details. read more

I was very dissatisfied with Budget Bridal. In the beginning stages they were very kind and gave me big expectations for my dream wedding cake. Unfortunately, they did not deliver these promises on my wedding day. Correspondance leading up to my wedding day was almost nonexistent. Jennifer never answered or returned my phone calls. She had told me to e-mail her about a week before the wedding in order to get pictures of some crystals she was putting together for my cake tiers. It took me a week of sending e-mails and leaving voicemails to finally hear back from her. When I finally did get a hold of her, she told me she was out of town and could not send the pictures but offered that her husband could. Several days went by and I received no pictures. I called her again and she got irritated with me for being so persistant, saying that her husband has not had the time. Budget Bridal arrived 45 minutes before my wedding, only after being called, to set up my cake. The cake they delivered was nowhere near what I was expecting. It was very plain and simple. I was told there would be airbrushed designs, of which there were none. My monogram was in the wrong location on the cake and it was blue instead of eggplant (I even gave her a swatch of linen to get the correct color). The monogram was placed on top of piping so it stuck out like a sore thumb. The crystals used to decorate my cake were not what she had originally showed me and were put on by being stuck in the icing. Overall the cake looked like it was thrown together last minute, it even began leaning at one point during the ceremony. read more
