Serves a purpose. My time going there they had these special holiday timed themed offerings of gin and cookie tins, quite nice in my opinion. Several self checkouts. Staff seemed "busy" but were happy to stop when asked to answer my question. My only wish is they were available after going through airport security when departing (on the gates side). But that's no fault of the location.

Prices are just a little higher than regular shops, but again, this stuff is excellent. Sandwiches, crisps, sodas, salads are all ready to eat. There is also an excellent selection of ready-to-heat meals, such as pizzas and soups and Indian foods. And some stuff that needs preparation, like salmon and chicken breasts and minced beef. This location is land-side, at the North end of the arrival waiting area.

It's open super early, like way before the roosters come out to cock-a-doodle-do. This place is not just good for basic off-licence needs. Their magazine selection is impressive. Their publication section takes up nearly a quarter of their shop and the titles that they carry range from basic Sun to highly stylish Tank. So, if you're on the go and you need to handle business, but you'd also like something good to read on the bus, this is the shop for you.

A huge organic selection. A whole shelf of tea. Fantastic ethnic cooking section chock full of sauces, ingredients, grains, rices, beans and any element you probably need, spices, decent bakery with breads, rolls, pitas, etc. Eggs and dairy, beer, wine, a lot of coconut water, and a fresh produce section (outside) which is standard, but nice to have. Things you won't find: fresh meats or fish. Par for the course! The family that runs it is very friendly as well (always so polite!) and I always leave feeling quite good about supporting a local food shop that is not only convenient, but tucked away from the madness of the Old Street roundabout. There are random boxes strewn about the store and the security guard watches everybody like they're stealing something. They had a decent variety of those types of things but otherwise this would be a store if you were in a pinch and needed a quick snack and that's about it. Because my name is Cari, one of the guys would give me DVDs of Carry on films when I came in. Cari -Carry -geddit? So, apart from the great owners, for a convenience store, it is pretty comprehensive. If you want fancy veg or a cheese with a French name, I would get thee to Tescos', but this is great for booze, sweets and snacks,and all those non fancy essentials. There is also a coffee and sandwich corner in part of the shop. The food is done by the next door cafe, 5 At The Bridge, so its good.
