Josh is the absolute best. He came down to look at several appliances (stove (Viking - in case someone needs that specific service), washer, dryer) and either fixed them or gave honest, cost-saving advice about repairs v. retirement. The stove had a number of issues, and it is now working perfectly. He was keenly interested in making sure that his service was fair and professional. Josh let me watch some of the repairs and gave me tips on future money saving techniques. And he seems like just a great overall person. I should also mention that their phone support people are awesome. Always answer promptly, call you back quickly, and are courteous. We had this company in to try and repair a pricey GE refrigerator as the ice/water dispenser went out unexpectedly and of course its just out of warranty. We have only had this appliance for a few years and I have had appliances last decades so surprised it went out. obviously an electrical/board issue. the tech did try to fix it by ordering a bunch of parts, making a couple stops to swap out parts and time speaking with GE service. end result is we are where we were but $225 lighter in the wallet. I get that the service call is time and that time is $$ but i also expected a solution but all the boards he put in failed to get it working which baffles the mind. again, the tech did try but my issues with the process is that GE doesnt provide much/any support for their products and repair services are more like parts changing until they find the issue. ultimately we are left with 3 options 1. keep the broken unit and live with no water/ice dispense 2. buy a new fridge for $2-3K 3. spend more $$ on the tech to order a bunch more parts (that we own no matter what cuz once opened they cant return them) and hope one of those fixes the issue. And if it doesnt then we are still in the same spot but even lighter in the wallet. its a veritable lose-lose-lose situation I offer 4 stars because the tech did try but we are still where we were when the unit broke. read more

So on a service call during COVID to repair our refrigerator I asked the serviceman from Bud Block to take a look at the lint catcher net in my dryer that would not sink down into the holder and was catching strings (on hoodies, drawstrings etc) and ruining clothing. Not only did the repairman (I wish I could remember his name but Josh is the only one I remember who now runs the company) come up with several ingenious fixes-HE FIXED IT with just some personal know-how!!! OMG I was so grateful and he said it would be N/C since it was a simple fix and he was already there and they had serviced my dryer before! Refrig is working and dryer is not eating clothes!!!!! Bud Blocks is always gracious, the receptionist (Roxie?) really responds to needs (a refrig out is an emergency!) The repair on the refrig needed a part that took a week to arrive and we debated about buying a new frig, since the repair was going to be @$500. The Bud Block repairman shared that the part we needed was a usual stock part for them and he would have to order another anyway so we could get put on the schedule so if we decided to repair when the part came in we would not lose any time waiting for an appointment. We looked all over for refrigerators in stock-finding ZERO and our refrig was 5 years old, matched all of our other appliances and the "new version" was different, was hella pricy and had to be ordered as well so we called Bud Block and told them we opted to repair. Just another example of Bud Block and their commitment and concern for their customers. They are polite and trustworthy-we had to leave before repairs were completed and I wasn't a bit worried. I HIGHLY recommend this repair service and am grateful for their service and expertise! Call them, you will not be sorry. We had the pleasure of meeting Josh Block, the new owner. He could not have been more helpful in repairing our Viking Refrigerator. Getting parts were rough, but not the fault of Bud Blocks repair and service center. When Viking finally shipped the parts the repairs were done immediately. The quality of repairs was excellent.
