I am unimpressed with the Tolleson city hall. This entire area needed cleaned up when I was here…read more Trash was all over the sidewalks and in the streets. There were also lots of people who were clearly under the influence all over the grounds surrounding the city hall building, sitting on the nearby benches, wandering around on the sidewalk areas, and into the streets. The streets surrounding this area are not equipped to handle the amount of traffic that was here. ADOT had closed down nearby I-10 and everyone who was on the freeway was now driving all over this area and there was nobody directing traffic and no assistance from local police. Being a city hall, you would think they would have organized with ADOT to ensure safety with a massive freeway shutdown. Not impressed by any means of this city hall and area.

So I moved to a new place and it was finally time to check out the services offered in my new city…read more While I did not like my old neighborhood I loved being a city of Phoenix resident. I was a Phx resident for over 20 years and the services in that city are outstanding. I knew it would be hard to beat their library services, which are gorgeous facilities and well stocked. With that said though, Glendale has a reciprocity agreement so now I can use both. YEAH! When I arrived at the 59th location I was treated well and greeted by a friendly librarian who signed me up and did a great job explaining everything. This is a smaller branch and not as large or well stocked as the Phx locations but the facilities are very nice. It will do just fine. What was really fun was on the way home driving out of the parking lot I got to stop for a Peacock crossing, I was like, "Waaaaaaaaaa?" Then I realized they were out walking from the nearby awesome park they live at. So fun and cool!!!! Weird to have to stop in a parking lot to let Peacocks cross living in Phoenix Arizona and all. lol - I hope when you are there you watch out for them. I keep thinking most people might not expect them and might hit them if they drive unsafe. I would go back to this branch just to see the Peacocks. Ha!

Marcos was very helpful, educated, and had a great personality! I was out within 10 minutes! When I first arrived it was so convenient to just check in with your birthday and last name. There were about 6 people in front of me and everyone got called to the desk very quickly. If I ever need any service done that requires MVD assistance, this will be the location I'll be going to! No more stressing about long lines and rude employees. Also, if anyone didn't know, you can transfer your plate from one vehicle to another for a small fee, if you want to keep your plate- AND you can get reimbursed for your tabs if they still have time left on them until they expire. I,e; my tabs didn't expire until October 2026 and I had to register a new vehicle, so I got $33 back to put towards my new registration! Very cool I highly recommend you head to this location for great customer service.
