That assumption ended last Saturday. Frankly, it was completely trashed! From my first, hesitantly made, phone call to G Facey Clothing to check the availability for larger sizes, to the change room, TJ and Stephanie made me feel welcome, important, valued, and... dare I say it... "normal". (I can't be sure but I think TJ even adjusted the store temperature so I didn't become a sweaty mess trying on several - SEVERAL! - of the options she suggested.) In larger chain stores, too often I was ignored, dismissed, or left to struggle to find options (and sweat through size and style changes) alone. NOT at G Facey. I was shopping for 2 outfits for Christmas parties. After my phone call, Stephanie put aside some options and when I dropped by TJ found SEVERAL more pieces that looked great. Even more surprising, TJ was happy - HAPPY! - to order in other items she thought I should consider. They also have shoes - I bought a super snappy pair to complete one outfit... and jewelry. I felt so good that, in effort to escape "leggings hell", I even tried on jeans (an unheard of occurrence) for more casual events! The personal service, attention to detail, and commitment to finding outfits for me (without breaking the bank) was beyond anything I've experienced in awhile. I left looking great and feeling good for the first time in a long time. REGARDLESS of your size, I encourage you to check G Facey out! TJ and Stephanie know their stuff! I can't recommend G Facey highly enough. A caution: shop fast! I loved everything and look forward to becoming a regular customer.

They carry a wide range of quality men's clothing from socks to sweaters to suits to shoes, etc. The diversity of the stock would appeal to a variety of ages. Ryan was extremely knowledgeable but gentle in his approach to sales. We will make the trip from Kingston to The Red Shark in the future based on the quality of the stock and the highly personable service.

My problem began when I was led over to a staff member that is clearly tasked with selling as many accessories as possible. For 15 minutes I was subjected to one of the most polished, high pressure, aggressive (think timeshare broker) attempts to up sell that I have ever experienced. Everything from shirts, socks and pocket puffs was pushed on me. "What do you mean you don't have a Christmas office party to go to?" was a memorable comment made to me. I'm a jeans and t shirt guy. I JUST WANTED A BLACK SUIT FOR MY MOTHER'S FUNERAL!!! Finally the guy that fitted me interrupted and took me to the cash register. He didn't apologize, but I could see it in his eyes. Afterwards I did contact Moores about this situation but never received a reply. Too bad for them. Three sons near high school graduation and needing formal wear. Perhaps future weddings. None of that business will go to Moores. As long as I draw breath on this earth I will never step foot in a Moores store. I would sooner pay double for the exact same suit anywhere else than do business with Moores again. If you are reading this I hope you do the same.

I told him I just needed a black suit for a funeral. If the transaction only involved him, I would not have had a problem. Unfortunately he takes me over to a table where a female was waiting. Her job is to watch what you pick off the rack and get tons of accessories ready for the attack. What happened next was one of the slickest high pressure sales pitches I have ever encountered. She had two shirts, a formal and more casual tie, poofs for the pockets, shoes, socks, tie pin and cuff links. After patiently saying no for 15mins and arguing with her that no, I really only wear a suit once every few years. I will not be returning to this location.

So far I have only dealt with them online, but the service I received from Jonathan was absolutely amazing. I was having trouble deciding between several items, but Jonathan asked me a few questions and was able to help me decide. When the stuff arrived, he was totally right. I am so happy to have received his advice. From now on, I only want to shop at Lost and Found. Thank you so much, I can't wait to place my next order. Update: I was in Toronto for a wedding and had some time to go visit them in person. They are in a great location, the store is well organized, and the staff is friendly and passionate about fashion. I had a great conversation about the brands they stock and why they choose them, which only further reinforced my opinion that this is the best men's store in Canada. But the best part was this: I bought a sweater (among other things) and was about to pay for it when I noticed a thread coming loose.
