I didn't come into Darimar Martial Arts as a clean slate. I…read morecame in carrying a lot--mentally, physically, stuff I don't always talk about. And I'll be honest... this place challenged me right away. Not in a loud, ego-driven way--but in a quiet, disciplined way that forces you to look at yourself. There's no hiding here. No shortcuts. No pretending. The Master teaches with intention. It's not just about movements--it's about awareness, control, and who you are when things get uncomfortable. That part hit me harder than I expected. At first, it can feel intimidating--especially if you're not used to structure or you've got your own stuff going on. But if you stay with it, something shifts. You start to build discipline again. Confidence. Control. This hasn't just been "training" for me. It's been a way to reconnect with parts of myself I thought I lost. And I respect that they don't water it down to make it easier. Because real growth isn't easy. If you're looking for comfort, this might not be your place. If you're looking to actually become stronger--mentally and physically--it's worth stepping into.

What a great facility and excellent staff, I waited to write a review for some time now to make…read moresure the experience didn't change over time. We've been sending our son Carson for over a year now and everything is as good as day one if not better. They work with him one on one and you can tell they are very passionate about martial arts and the experience each child gets. The summer camp is great also, they mix fun and activity with an hour or so of martial arts a day. The place is clean, spacious and the staff members are top notch.

We decided to try this studio out for my daughter (who is 5) for the summer. They had a great…read morespecial which was $69 for 6 weeks of classes plus the uniform. It's a great way to try this program to see if your child will enjoy it or not. The instructors are INCREDIBLY patient! Our daughter is used to being in preschool and things like this, but this is obviously even more structured than that. I feel that she is learning some really valuable life lessons as well. She is being taught how to respect others, how to listen better, how to try and sit still, and how to raise her hand before speaking. All of these things are great life lessons, as she is going to have to get used to acting this way when she starts kindergarten as well. I am hoping that she continues to progress. She has good days and bad days (where is she is just wild in class). The instructors don't lose their temper, which is amazing to me..... they just continue teaching the class leaving discipline and discussions to happen at home vs. in class. They are also very good at instructing for anti-bullying and increases your child's confidence in dealing with bullies (if this happens etc). I think that it is a smart program to atleast try with your child.
