Dr Buck placed an artificial joint in my big toe. After explicitly following his post-op instructions, the joint quickly became displaced. Starting "I've never seen that before", he took me back to the operating room to repair the failed joint. After the second surgery, he gave me a small portion of the implant and said, "I'm not sure what happened or how to fix it but I removed a portion of it". I then went to another podiatrist who successfully removed the implant and replaced it with a new one. I understad any surgeon can have postoperative complications, but not being able to fix an isssue they create is clearly problematic.
