The most recent problem, yesterday evening, was an issue with our instant-on hot water "tank"; it was repaired first thing this morning. It's pretty common for a repair person to look at a 20-year-old piece of equipment and tell the owner that it's old and needs to be replaced. Mountain Air does not do that. They have the experience and do the research into the problem and fix it whenever necessary. Both Kevin and Justin are knowledgable and easy to work with. Very prompt service, very competent. When one of our systems has an issue, we are confident that with one call it will be dealt with quickly and efficiently. HIGHLY recommend Mountain Air!

Got an appointment very quickly, and if it hadn't been for someone on my side interfering with progress by bringing the wrong keys etc, probably would have gotten the furnace fixed very quickly too. But here's the great thing: at every turn, Rexroad was on the phone explaining what's going on and where to go from there. When everything got fixed, I was expecting a massive bill because of at least two false trips to the property, but the charges were what I would expect for a typical in-and-out weekday repair at a reasonable rate. If I have another HVAC problem, I'll call Rexroad first.

We are fairly new to this area, and I got their number off the internet. I called them around 2 PM when it was 97 degrees outside and the AC would not come on. He said he would be at our house by 5:00 PM that same day. He got there at 4:15 PM! He knew exactly what was wrong, and was able to fix the problem without having to make any plan for a return visit. His rate was reasonable. Also, he did not try to invent any problems to take advantage of our situation. The guy is as honest as they come, and he knows what he's doing.

Brandon was the most prompt, thorough, and professional service manager we worked with. He quickly diagnosed the problem, took the time to explain everything clearly, and presented several replacement options without any pressure. We felt informed and confident throughout the entire process. The installation team was equally outstanding. They arrived on time, were courteous and professional, and the installation went seamlessly. They treated our home with respect, answered all of our questions, and made sure everything was working perfectly before they left. Our new system has been performing flawlessly, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Their pricing was also very competitive compared with the other quotes we received. If you're looking for an HVAC company that is responsive, knowledgeable, professional, and truly cares about doing quality work, I highly recommend Absolute Heating & Air. Morgantown in December. UGH…read more So of course, this is when the heater decides to die. We realized the heater was really a blower and looked from recommendations. I am SO glad I didn't come to yelp first, or I would not have called Hunley and I would probably be cold and sad right now. I called in the afternoon, and Brian worked us it so he came the same day. He diagnosed the problem and hunted down the part and we were toasty warm again in warp speed. You know that feeling when you are dealing with a company that is SO big, you are just another call on a loooong list, and if you call next week, and new person will show up? That is NOT Hunley. Brian is also the owner so he has a very vested interest in doing a great job, and he does. He is very good at what he does, but he is also just a nice guy. Communication was great, (he will text instead of call, thank you baby Jesus),he was prompt and professional, and his pricing was fair and reasonable. He has been, hands down, the easiest service professional I have worked with in Morgantown, and with a house older than some states, that speaks volumes. Thanks Brian!

Initially, my interaction with Hunley was good. A technician (Nick) found an issue with a hose that…read moreconnects to my furnace. A small piece of plastic was lodged inside, which Nick removed. He was thorough, knowledgeable, & friendly. He even took the time to share a tutorial on how to read and understand my furnace error codes. His visit cost $186.40 & my furnace was blowing warm air again. However, about 6 hours afterwards, my Nest gave me a "critical error" alert that said there was a severe problem with the furnace running while the temp inside the home decreased. I immediately informed Hunley about the problem. On 4/17, the owner (Brian) was due to arrive at 10am. By 11:30am, I was told he was stuck in traffic. We rescheduled for him to return at 4:30. He arrived late in an unmarked truck. After the initial introduction, his first question to me was to ask about which church I attended. I was alarmed by his question, so I redirected his attention to the problem (my furnace). After about an hour, Brian said that he thought the circuit board was broken. He also described other scenarios that could explain why our furnace wasn't working correctly. He suggested that the furnace needs to be overhauled completely, even suggesting that it would require moving it outside since repair is very labor-intensive. His communication of this alleged problem with our furnace was not persuasive, clear, or understandable. I asked Brian why his diagnosis was so different than his employee's diagnosis a week prior (i.e., when Nick visited). His response was, "he's only got 3 years of experience & I have 12. I also own this company, so there's that." I was uncomfortable with this response and I found it strange to take such a defensive position- especially since it's rather degrading to his employee. Brian also said that he doesn't spend much time on service calls and, instead, spends most of his time in the office. This evidence undermines my trust in his competence and/or skill. To move forward, I needed more information from him before I agreed to the investment he was asking for (e.g., the cost of labor was described as "at least $1,200"). I was asking another question when Brian suddenly said, mid-sentence, that he needed to get home to his family. He then picked up his bag and left. He left with an abrupt "I'll issue a refund for everything" & drove away. About 20 minutes later, I received a text from Brian that acknowledged his unprofessional behavior & offered an apology. He also stated that he's "going through a lot right now" as an explanation. By his own admission, Brian was grossly inappropriate. Blaming your personal problems or your customers for your shortcomings as a business professional is a reflection of poor character. I rejected his offer to perform future services for free because I do not feel safe with him in my home and would not trust his work. In response, I feel compelled to share my honest account of experiences with this company in hopes of warning other homeowners in Morgantown. I also found out that Brian contacted other HVAC COs to see if they had me as a customer. We reported this behavior immediately. We no longer trust Hunley HVAC or the owner's business practices.
