100% recommend this company. Just had some construction work done, and I am very satisfied. To be more specific we had work done to reconstruct our bathroom and I am beyond ecstatic by the outcome. The work was done in a timely manner, the workers were very prompt and precise, and the owner was always available to answer my questions and concerns whenever I needed to get ahold of him (not that I even had many). The owner, Vic, is a hard person to work with. It's his way, or no way. He will promise you everything and deliver very little. He is very controlling. A simple garage apt took 13 weeks and I was, verbally, promised 4. ( my mistake for not getting a finish date on the contract) He said that workers would come out and, several times, they did not. The finally finished product was very poorly applied sheetrock. We just wanted them out of our home that we settled for many flaws. I do not recommend this company. You will be very sorry. read more

Buccaneer Construction's work was average at best. The framing work done for our project was done well, the painting and sheetrock work was average, but the trim work was horrible. Window sills did not match each other. Baseboards did not align, and crown molding was not mitered correctly. Yet, this was not as bad as the owner telling us his crew would be at our house, but most of the time no one showed up. It became a joke at our house to call the owner to find out why no one showed. Here are a few examples of his responses: - All of his trucks were in the shop. - The crew was looking for a large tarp to cover our roof. (Never saw the tarp and this excuse was used multiple days.) - Need to order your type of siding. (Even though they eventually bought it at Lowes down the street) - We can't find the plans. - The crew is looking for a plastic room divider with a zipper to keep dust from going to other parts of the house. (Never saw this plastic divider either) - It might rain. (In my part of the country, it might rain everyday) Needless to say, the project took 6 times longer to finish than Buccaneer estimated. Worst company ever. Payment is required up front and downhill from there. Very unprofesional, and any work completed is subpar. You have to buy ALL materials - every board, nail, caulk, paint (including paint brush(es) and I had to furnish rags), etc. I hired this company (Victor Hegman owner) to remodel kitchen, two bathrooms, paint interior, etc. I had one of his men ask me for money. After 10 months, no vanity in the hall bathroom which he was very well paid to build a custom vanity and storage space above commode. Not done and he will not return my money. Hired him to remodel master bath, nothing was done and he still has that money as well. Remodel kitchen cabinets - nothing done and, yes, he has that money too. Check the BBB and do a company search on him before hiring. Nothing but complaints. I trusted him instead of doing my research. Biggest and most expensive mistake ever. read more

I agree with EVERY negative review on this company and the owner. I had 2 simple jobs: fencing 2 sides of my back yard and installing sliding doors where a window had been. It was a nightmare. Non-responsive, fast-talkin take your money and run, not returning phone calls or emails, mean-spirited, blaming me for mistakes or misunderstandings, MIA for days and weeks, how I could go on. Not to mention CONDESCENDING TO WOMAN. No wonder they are not BBB certified. I wouldn't hire this company to build a dog house. read more
