Caesar Salad with dressing on the side

My friends and I came here for dinner to try the 4 for $49.99 deal. You get a salad, pasta, entree, and garlic bread in shareable quantities. We chose the Caesar salad (dressing on the side), penne alla vodka, and chicken parmigiana. The penne alla vodka pasta was kind of bland and I wish the chicken parmigiana had come with more sauce. The garlic bread was probably my favorite dish. Overall the food was mid but a good amount of food for the price. We came in on a Wednesday and were one of two parties eating there that night. Because of there were hardly any people, they sat us in the booths near the bar, which I didn't like because they have TVs at the bar that I feel distract from dining out.

I've always loved Buca! I brought my boyfriend here for the first time a couple weeks ago and he loved it! He got the salmon sorrento with fettuccine Alfredo and I got the lasagna and a side Cesar salad. We also got mozzarella garlic bread! Everything was delicious and of course we had lasagna leftovers which we ate for dinner that same night! The portions are huge, you can definitely share your food with 1 or even more people depending how much you like to eat! The staff is nice, food comes out quickly and it always fun to look around at all the pictures on the walls!

Buca di Beppo is the ultimate spot for a fun, family-style feast! The portions are huge, so you definitely won't leave hungry. In fact, you'll probably be rolling out of there in a happy food coma. It's perfect for sharing with a big group, and the atmosphere is always lively and entertaining. If you're looking for a place to indulge and enjoy some classic Italian dishes, Buca di Beppo is a must-try!

The food is good. You definitely get your monies worth, portion wise. The Espresso Martini was the best I've had! Alexander provided excellent customer service! He was so patient, professional and attentive to our large group of guests! We enjoyed the Ambiance in the round room!

Chicken Parmigiana with barely any sauce

Buca used to be one of our favorite restaurants 10+ years ago. We enjoyed the large portions and having something to enjoy later. We recently received a gift card and so it was time to go back. Unfortunately our experience was not good at all. We ordered a small chicken parmigiana, a small pizza, and tiramisu. All of that came to $100. Of course the good thing, in theory, is that we had food leftover for the next day. But when the food isn't great that's not exactly a bonus. Everything that we ordered lacked flavor. Nothing tasted fresh at all. The chicken parm barely had sauce on it. But the sauce wasn't good anyway. We used to love their tiramisu. It was light and airy with solid coffee and chocolate flavor. But now it's this almost solid block of mildly flavored meh. It's a shame because we have many great memories at Buca. But we won't be back.

At the time it felt like a…read morewelcome clone of Piccola Trattoria dropped into the most suburban location imaginable, a strip mall across from Del Taco and a grocery store. It was good news for those of us in the neighborhood who wanted something better than chain Italian without driving across town. Four-plus years later, the real test is simple: do you keep coming back? We do. Regularly. That says more than any early review ever could. Piccola Osteria has quietly become our neighborhood standby. It's the place we go when cooking feels like a chore but we still want a proper meal, not takeout that tastes like it came from a food factory. Over the years we've worked our way through most of the menu, often more than once, and the consistency is what keeps us returning. The appetizers remain strong. The polpette are exactly what they should be: simple, flavorful meatballs in a good marinara. The carpaccio is fresh and bright with arugula and lemon. Prosciutto with burrata is hard to mess up if the ingredients are good, and here they usually are. The arancini with braised short rib are still one of the better starters on the menu. The pastas continue to carry the kitchen. The gnocchi Sorrentina are reliably soft and comforting. The fettuccine Bolognese tastes like a sauce that has had time to develop. The tortelloni di brasato and the pumpkin tortelloni are richer options that never disappoint. And when we're in a seafood mood, the linguine vongole or spaghetti pescatora usually hit the mark. The secondi are solid as well. The osso buco is consistently good, and the branzino is fresh and often filleted tableside, which still feels like a small luxury in a neighborhood restaurant. Service has also held up well. In all the years we've been coming here, we've only had one off night where the service felt disorganized. Otherwise it's been friendly and attentive. Another subtle but encouraging sign: some of the staff speak Italian, and you can actually exchange a few words in Italian if you're inclined. That's usually a decent signal you're not in a completely Americanized version of the cuisine. The menu still leans broadly "Italian" rather than regional Italian. There are a couple of concessions to American expectations, like spaghetti and meatballs or a Caesar salad, neither of which you'd typically see in Italy. But restaurants in suburban California have to meet their customers where they are, and those dishes clearly keep the tables full. If I still had a wish list after all these years, it would be the same gentle nudge: it would be great to see the kitchen rotate in a few seasonal or regional additions. Something like pici with wild boar ragù, trofie with pesto, or a few rustic polenta dishes would be fantastic. Italian cuisine has endless regional depth, and even a few rotating specials would add another dimension. The wine list remains reasonably priced, which is refreshing. Markups aren't outrageous, and the cocktails are well made. The White Negroni in particular is worth ordering. At the end of the day, Piccola Osteria has proven something more valuable than novelty: reliability. In a neighborhood where most dining options lean toward chains and fast casual, having a small place that consistently delivers honest Italian food is something worth appreciating. Not bad for a little osteria hiding in a strip mall across from Del Taco. Sometimes the most dependable neighborhood restaurants are the ones you almost overlook.

A great Italian spot!…read more Despite a busy night, the service was warm and welcoming. Our main server was great, but it's always a great sign when other servers come to check in on you too. The space is quite large, but a bit cramped. We were seated in a a patio-like space towards the back of the restaurant. We ordered the calamari, Mezzelune di Crostacei, and Tortelloni di Brasato. The calamari is highly recommended. It was fresh, lightly fried, and paired well with the sauce. The Mezzelune di Crostecei was amazing. The ravioli was perfectly cooked and the juices from the shrimp and scallop made it a perfect bite. The only disappointment was the Tortelloni di Brasato. The herb cream sauce was delicious and the pasta was perfectly cooked. However, the short rib filling was akin to a beef puree and several of the tortellonis had very little filling. Overall, I had a great experience and looking forward to try other menu items!

Once I was seated, looked over the menu and ordered, I decided to look up reviews on Yelp. Not as positive as I usually look for before selections a restaurant but I am so glad I came in before I made this snap judgement! I also saw that although being open for lunch, they again close to prep for dinner service so I am equally glad I stopped when I did. I selected the tequila chicken fettuccine, at the recommendation of the wonderful man who sat and served me, ( I was thinking about carbonara). I will probably wake up craving this pasta!! Flavorful, chicken cooked perfectly and not sitting in an overly creamy sauce. I also enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, crisp and lovely, and upon inquiry, learned it is not available in stores! I'll probably be back for a glass or two of wine at the very least!

(And maybe not again.) The first time was a lot less busy and we had no problems. This second time was different, unfortunately. It was a Friday night and, being the day before Valentine's day, it was busy. No excuses though....if you are going to offer gluten free options you MUST be able to handle that accurately when it's busy. Our server was WONDERFUL and did exactly what she should have done with all of this. I had many questions about the gluten free options and she was able to answer them, or went back to the kitchen to double check. She did not make me feel like a bother or inconvenient at all. I ordered chicken alfredo with gluten free pasta. When my meal came out, it had fettuccine noodles. I had a twinge in my stomach because this did not seem right, and from last time, I did not remember those being the gf noodles. I asked the guy that brought my meal if this was the gluten free pasta, I think there may have been a language barrier because his accent was thick and his response was, 'is this what you ordered?' I said yes and he walked away. I waited for our server to come before I took a bite by so I could TRIPLE check with her and she noticed IMMEDIATELY the dish was not right. She said, 'oh no! This is not the gluten free pasta. It should be the penne noodles!' She took the dish away. I was interested to find that the correct dish with gf penne noodles came out within 5-7 mins. The only gf pasta that I know of that cooks that quick is fresh gf pasta (8mins). And this pasta you serve is not refrigerated fresh pasta, lol. Was the wrong dish sent to the wrong table by accident? But why did the person that brought my dish not know what he was bringing? There was also very little sauce to be found on the dish. I am not a sauce person so for me to say there was no sauce....it was almost non existent. Now....price. I don't remember the original price of the dish I got, but you up charge SIX?!?!?!?!!! Dollars for the gluten free substitution pasta (most I've seen is $3-4)? And adding chicken is another $8?! My dish came out to be $32. And I will be honest, it was NOT worth that. No manager came out to make sure everything was better. Nothing was taken off the bill for a HUGE mistake, that could have cost me my health or a trip to the hospital. Not happy with this experience. Not happy paying $136 for this experience. Train yourselves with more accuracy please. Thank you.

Lovely spot for drinks and dinner in Santa Clarita…read more I was in the area running errands and decided to grab dinner nearby on a Thusday evening around 6:30 pm. I found this place on Yelp and dropped by for dinner. My party of 2 was seated immediately. Personally I thought the menus were hard to read. The gray lines in the background were quite dark and clashed with the actual menu items. My suggestion to the restaurant would be to reprint the menus with lighter background. They have an extensive cocktail menu with a lot of gin-based drinks. They also have good selection of wine and NA drinks as well, including some mocktails. I got the I'm Driving mocktail ($13), which I really liked. It had good passion fruit flavor without being too sour. Felt like a really nice tropical juice. My friend really liked his drink Bramblin' Man ($17), which had strong notes of bourbon and blackberry. I wasn't super hungry, but the braised short rib looked amazing so I got that for $43. It was very tender, but I personally found it bland especially on the inside. I asked for additional sauce so I could drench each bite in the sauce. My favorite part of the plate was surprisingly the potato croquette, which was perfectly crispy and well flavored. My friend got the chicken club ($23), which he enjoyed. I stole a bunch of his seasoned fries since they were so good. I would've loved to get dessert but was too stuffed. Next time!
