Each floor has something specific like jeans, belts, blazers, etc. The shoe section is actually very nice and has a large selection of men's dress shoes and active shoes. Prices are high but the shoes are high quality and I saw a cobbler working area where they look like they do repairs and shaping. Quality products in here and a huge selection. You can find anything you need in this store and several well-known fashion brands and some you haven't heard of but will probably like just as well.

A few years ago I did buy dirndl from another shop and was disappointed in the fabric and comfort of the other dresses. The 10+ year old dirndl from Trachten Rausch that has been worn dozens of times, even lent to friends, looks newer than the other shop's after being worn only twice. I don't expect to need another dirndl anytime soon but when I do I will go to Trachten Rausch again.

After a lot of research, I saw Trachten Rausch come up multiple times. I walked to the store and was immediately greeted by a young saleswoman who figured out my size quickly and whisked me away to a small changing room. She brought a few options, helped me in and out of them and we settled on two final options - both reasonably priced (do not expect to spend less than 150 euro on anything quality). I chose the one I wanted and was rung up and out the door. Both sales women I spoke with spoke excellent English and didn't make me feel bad about my very poor German speaking skills. This was an excellent experience - the dirndls are beautiful and I'm excited to wear mine!

It is (as every shop is in the Innenstadt) downright intolerably crowded on Saturdays and even most weekday evenings, crawling with bargain hunters and super hot and stuffy. They're much, much cheaper than the specialty stores in the touristy areas. The leiderhosen they stock comes in a variety of qualities, shapes, and sizes. I didn't know what my leiderhosen size was, but the clerk was helpful enough to eyeball me and quote me my size. They offer a little dressing room in the upstairs area for men where I was able to try them on. I got some accessories, and a shirt that looks Bavarian, so I'm stoked! They accept credit cards too! Most of the men's clothes and dirndls are upstairs, with women's clothes and the weirder stuff downstairs. The dirndl selection was vast, as was the leiderhosen! The clerk was helpful and amused to see how excited I was to get my hands on some discount leiderhosen! I ended up with a brown suede set of leiderhosen and the cool German shirt!
