I mainly come here because it is conveniently located, but I'm generally pretty happy with it. It's part of the local chain of laundromats in Jersey City.
1) It's a relatively large laundromat with several different sized washing machines for any size or type of load. And a good number of a dryers, too. However, this place gets pretty busy, especially after school on weekdays and weekends. It's not uncommon to go on the hunt or wait for a cart or machine.
2) The prices are good, but cash only! You have to get a Bubbles card (free and reusable), and load it with however much you want. M-F 6am to 4pm small washers are $1.50 (reg $2) and medium washers $3 (reg $3.50). Dryers are $0.35 for 10 mins. There's an ATM on the premises, too.
3) They also have a drop off laundry service, but no dry cleaning.
4) The employees are nice. Very helpful when you're having any problems with the machines.
5) Has a decently sized parking lot, including handicap spaces. Big plus when I have big loads.
5) For your entertainment, there are flat screen TVs throughout the laundromat. It's usually programmed to a Spanish station, but the remotes are located nearby or you can ask an employee if you would like to change the channel.
6) There's little candy and toy machines for kids, and vending machines with drinks and snacks. There's also a coffee machine, but I've never actually seen anyone use it. They also sell laundry items like detergent, softener, dryer sheets, garbage bags, etc.
7) It can be messy sometimes, but usually it's more on the customers' end than a lack of cleaning on the employees' side.
8) Also note that there are people who come around selling sheets and bootleg DVDs, which is either annoying or convenient depending on how you feel about it.
This is your basic laundromat, nothing fancy, but you'll get what you need done and effectively. read more
