Needed a rear passenger wheel bearing replaced. I scheduled an appointment, let them work on my vehicle as long as they needed, and picked it up when they said it was ready. Jose and the rest of the team did what was asked for, at a very reasonable rate, and helped me find recommendations for any work that they were not able to provide themselves. The facility is clean and effectively brand new. There is a free, automated tire pump outside the shop. Every single time I've rolled thru to just say hello or ask mechanical advice, I've been met with nothing but friendly, humble professionalism. Love y'all, keep up the great work. - June 2025 Update: One of the gentlemen from the shop recognized me, in plainclothes public while I was out shopping, and asked me about how my vechicle was doing and if I had had a chance to take it to one of the aforementioned shops to provide the service that they simply did not have the means (mechanical legal or otherwise) to provide. I barely recognized him in street clothes, but he knew me and my car and what work they had done for me. Absolutely above & beyond personal, local, human to human automotive service. Cannot recommend enough! Respectfully, Jonquil R. sounds like a pain in the ass who spends more time writing bad reviews than learning how the real world works and interacting with mechanics.

That was all adding up to about $160. Okay, cool. I can live with that. Then she mentioned something about spark plugs. I've known that they might need to be replaced for a while. So when she showed me a quote for $99 on the screen and said she'd get a quote from the mechanic, I was game. She came back with a quote of around $360, which already seemed more expensive, but I was willing to still roll with it. Where I started having a real issue was when I got to the the counter to cash out. The total was $517.52 after a tiny little discount for the oil change service. It was only after all that they finally explained that the second quote did not include the initial quote for the oil change, tire rotation, and wipers. They charged $150 for approximately an hour of labor and $61.28 per spark plug. Now, keep in mind that if you go to AutoZone, you can get a spark plug for $10-15. And the expenses continued. $36 for each coil boot. Yikes. If I had wanted someone to rip me off like that, I would've had it serviced at the dealership. At least then I would know exactly the quality of service I'm getting.

They not only do your oil, but check your tires, vacuum your interior and check all of your fluids. Complimentary coffee is inside. I had my puppy with me one time and the crew was so friendly and personable and didn't mind a bit that she was sniffing around (don't worry, I had her on her leash and kept her away from the pits). My first time here, I drove right in and was out in less than 20 min. Pricing varies depending on oil, but I walk about paying $34. Don't forget to look on your phone for coupons. I got $5 off my last time :) Customer service was above and beyond. He escorted me inside, held the door open and showed me where the restrooms where and to help myself to coffee and magazines. I loved the open glass concept where I can watch them work on my car. Makes me feel reassured. After I had paid and was heading out the door, they opened the door for me again and escorted me to my car and held the door open. These small gestures do not go unnoticed. Such gentlemen! Keep it up! **update** 08/2017 Got my oil changed the other day and I was in and out in less time it took to read the front page of the newspaper. Extremely quick and efficient service!

Let me set the stage: It was May of last year when my transmission started acting like it was auditioning for Fast & Furious: Limp Mode Edition. So, being the proactive and responsible truck owner that I am, I brought it in. Their advice? "Yeah, we've seen this before. Try changing the transmission fluid and drive around like everything's fine for 500 miles." Spoiler alert: that didn't work. Shocking, I know. Next up: "You do need a new transmission... but we don't have any. Not until December." Because what's seven months of slipping gears between friends, right? But wait, there's more! They highly recommended a third-party rebuild with a "100,000-mile warranty" (heavy air quotes there). So I said sure, why not? What followed was an Olympic relay of transmission swaps. Four of them. Yes, FOUR. I'd pick up my truck, drive it, and within days, we'd be back on our regularly scheduled programming of Return to the Dealership: Part 17. Video requests? Check. Test drives with mechanics? Check. Loaner car? Oh, you sweet summer child--of course not! Why offer a loaner when I can just enjoy the walking lifestyle and donate my savings to the Dublin Transmission Charitable Fund? And after transmission #4 coughed its last gear, I said enough. I asked for a real GM transmission, which now became available. Their response? The third-party rebuilder would graciously refund half. HALF! And the dealership? They'd chip in a whopping $600. That left me only about $2,000 short of a functioning truck--again. Generous! Also, midway through this comedy of errors, I was told I'd need to pay to remove the defective transmission they had recommended. Because nothing says customer service like, "Hey, this didn't work, and now it's your problem." Now, a year and two months later--count 'em, 14 months, 4 transmissions, over $8,000, and a blood pressure medication prescription later--I finally have my truck back. Does it run? Yes. Do I trust it? About as much as I trust the Wi-Fi at a campground. In summary: if you're looking for a place to test your patience, drain your wallet, and give you a crash course in the transmission aftermarket circus, Dublin Chevrolet is the ride for you. Bonus points if you enjoy the sensation of being gaslit and upcharged simultaneously. Would I recommend Dublin Chevrolet? Only if you've run out of hobbies and want a new part-time job managing your own warranty claim. Drive safe. Or at least, try to.
