When I first arrived there was a super long line just to get fabric cut. I decided to shop for a while until there were only two people in line. They are really good at getting everyone through as quick as possible and had over 6 people just cutting yardage. After you get your fabric cut, you go to a second line to pay, but I only waited about 2 minutes. I guess just timed it right. HINT: they have the full price fabric up by the front door. Skip that and head to the piles of fabric towards the side and back of the store. The only thing I couldn't find there was on brand fabrics like Hello Kitty and the Nightmare Before Christmas. As if their prices weren't low enough, they have a bargain area in the back of the store with even lower prices and other specialty materials like vinyl. Plenty of parking as well.

Everything here is reasonably priced & affordable. Pretty much all of my special occasions always had something from Fabric Barn. I have purchased 100s of spools of ribbons, personalized ribbons, baby shower favors supplies, party supplies, bags, round mirrors for centerpieces, wedding accessories including my veil and (believe it or not) my wedding dress. Service is hit & miss. Depending on the clientele & how busy it is, you may get helped quickly or you have to wait until the ladies finish chatting with coworkers or clienteles. Parking is tight on weekends but the flow of customers coming and going out of FB has never made me drive around the block more than once or twice. Because FB has always had what I needed. I have never been to go downtown to the Garment District. I have been living in SoCal for 33 years! Check them out!

To me this was a memory of being out with my mom in the old days before Bezos. All sorts of little party favors and decorations. We walked out with thread, cloth and Mardi Gras decorations. Great service and I don't think the prices were too bad. All that was missing was mothball smells. The instructor, Kelsey (hopefully I spelled that right!) was able to give everyone personal attention, which was a must since you advance between projects at more-or-less your own pace; a blessing for me, since I was usually lagging behind a bit. We go through everything you need to know about the machine, threading it, bobbins, patterns, how to read a pattern, how to choose the right fabric, how to trim and use patterns. Everything you can think of. She is incredibly knowledgeable and personable. It is always a joy to go to class! So far we've made, a pouch, pillow case, pajama shorts. We have a last project that is TBD! But you truly get to work at your own pace. Everything is provided for you. Highly recommend anyone who is interested in sewing to take a class! The store itself is very well kept with a lovely selection of fabrics and Janome machines. Camilla has been lovely every time we've visited!

I went to return something and then browsed the isles to pick out some new items for my red, white and blue decor at home. (4th of July is my FAVORITE)!! What.A.Let.Down. A large majority of the items looked like complete trash. Many, MANY things scratched and scuffed up. I don't want to decorate with crappy looking decorations. A couple items were even ripped (see America sign photo). What the heck!? Who in their right mind would think it's ok to stock that on the shelves? I contemplated taking these items to someone but it would have likely filled the bulk of the cart. I wish I would have taken more pictures but you can see how bad just the few were that I took. Do better, Hobby Lobby. I really hope management sees this.

My mouth dropped wide opened when I saw really good stuff on sale. They even had plain colored t-shirts for $3.25 each. My friends and I spent about an hour roaming around the store. So much to see with lots of options also for crafts. We spotted a section for clearance items where my friend bought plastic water bottles for $1.25 set of 3. So he bought two sets for $2.50. Such a great deal. We were all satisfied with what we bought at amazing prices. Can't wait to go back!
