Situated in a charming stone cottage with a true Italian Pizzeria feel, Grotto makes seriously good boutique gourmet pizzas. Unlike hit and miss franchise pizza bars run by random casuals, the pizzas here are pretty special. Not quite as good as EST on East terrace on an overall basis but some of the pizzas are slightly better. Firstly they are thin and crispy and very well cooked, secondly the sauce is home made Napoletana. They are not oily or salty and they have imported Peroni red to wash it down with! We went on a busy period on Friday night, normally a period where you can guarantee delays and service issues but the opposite was true, we got looked after better than most retardants! The owner even came up to our table and asked if we were happy! Go for the meatball pizza (roast pork and fennel meatballs with basil and Parmesan) or the "pumpkin, pig & kid" washed down with one of their Italian reds. They even heat up the home made zeppole!

I've always held the firm belief that it's better to be great at one particular skill than to be a…read morejack of all trades, but a master at none. This is a suitable philosophy for the people at Grotto, who have chosen to keep it simple and do the one thing that they do best: simply good pizza. The Salty Pig is a popular choice and, like its restaurant, is nice and simple. It boasts numerous types of ham and is neither too basic, nor too fancy. I tire of restaurants creating overly ambitious meals that never quite hit the mark. Good food doesn't necessarily have to be exotic or expensive; all it takes is a good understanding of harmonising flavours, and Grotto's pizzas do just that. Hidden away from the business of The Parade, Grotto is surprisingly quiet despite the relatively short distance from the main street. Though casual, the interior is charming and intimate, and is suitable for a quiet dinner for two or group dining. If you've got a specific craving for pizza, I suggest passing on the cafes for a night and giving the masters a try.

Chicken and lamb, plenty of salad, and your usually overloading of that delicious garlic sauce. Ended up soaking through the bread and through the paper. Made for a messy lunch indeed. But hey, if you want a decent yiros, certainly get one from here. Nothing really to complain about, a bit of a mess is to be expected.

Fiesta also offers some Turkish pides with are choc-a-block full of fetta pumpkin, aubergines, spinach and many other spicy deliciousness. Prices are about $10 for each food choice which is fairly reasonable. Staff are friendly and are clearly used to a fast pace and churn out the offerings fairly quick smart. A good option when looking for a quick bite in town.

That's not suggesting Melbourne food is better then Adelaide rather I had no idea where the best spots are in my new home town. Pizza was a category that I tried and tried many a places but never found the right fit. Before Speranza opened I was going to Pedros around the corner from this place which is ok but not great (6/10). Back on Speranza The wood fire pizzas are great and staff very friendly. Pricing is at the high end but it's genuine wood fire pizza so you need to expect that. I highly recommend the belissima and "the lot" (supreme). I would personally stay away from chicken as I found the chicken breast to be dry however please don't let this put you off this great little place. The shop itself does have some basic seating however I would recommend it is better suited to take away. Overall I rate 5 stars (9/10) over 20 odd visits.

In terms of product, hit and miss. I really didn't like the tandoori chicken pizza, though my…read morepartner didn't mind the flavour. I always prefer seeing sliced or shredded chicken on a pizza, rather than chicken cubes (probably the result of working for a takeaway pizza franchise during my teenage years). The pizza bases were quite thick the first time we purchased from this place but much thinner last time. They don't do your standard garlic bread (ie garlic buttered baguette), which disappointed a couple of my friends. When we picked up our pizzas and went to pay by credit card we were asked to pay with cash and had to walk to the ATM (their credit card facilities weren't down - they just wanted cash payment). Not bad but definitely room for improvement.

My logic is that if it's good, why risk trying another?? I love the fact you can choose what type of bun you want - I always get damper. The chips are crispy but soft inside (yum!) and the onion rings are uhhh-mazing! I've never had a bad burger experience at eNuf, however my other-half has had a dry patty before and didn't love it. There are tables to sit an eat at, with your burger served on the fashionable wooden board or you can also get takeaway. If you fancy something different, they do a monthly special burger so for example this month it was a roast lamb with mint jelly! One downside is the lack of parking available and sometimes the tables look like they haven't been wiped in a while. The burgers are great though!
